Description of 🧪 Apera Instruments AI311 Premium pH Pocket Tester Kit: Waterproof, with Replaceable Probe for ±0.01 pH Accuracy

NOTE: A few drops of water are added to the electrode cap before the product leaves the factory. This is to maintain the sensitivity of the electrode. Therefore, when you use it for the first time, it is normal to find water droplets in the electrode cap. Accuracy: 0.01 pH; range: -2.00 to 16.00 pH, 32 to 122 ̊F (0 to 50 ̊C); Auto. Power-Off: 8 minutes without operation. Easy 1-3 points auto. calibration, recognizes 5 types of solutions (1.68, 4.00, 7.00, 10.01, 12.46); Auto Temp. Compensation (ATC) ensures accuracy in various temperatures (32-122 ̊F). High quality replaceable glass pH probe, suitable for regular water solutions e.g. pools&spas, hydroponics, environmental monitoring, cooling towers, beverage, etc. Large LCD with 3 backlit colors (indicating different modes), dual display of temp./pH, and reminders of completed calibrations and stable readings. The smiley icon indicates stable readings so you won't have to guess when is the right time to record the measurements. COMPLETE KIT with READY-TO-USE calibration solutions, calibration bottles, storage solutions, AAA batteries, and a lanyard all in a rugged portable case.

Very good pH tester and consumable.

I bought a cheaper pH tester and learned the lesson: you get what you pay for. I didn't even have time to use it before it broke. Apera PH60 is a completely different game. A very good device for the price. You get everything you need to get started (even the batteries) and I really like how it adjusts to the temperature of the liquid I'm measuring. The hard plastic case with foam inserts will keep the tester and consumables in good condition for years. Using the PH60 is easy to learn thanks to

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Not the best

I've been using this meter for about a month - it's not perfect but overall I'm quite happy with it. PROS: Overall, this counter works well. I compared its readings with those of other counters and was satisfied. It is very easy to use and calibration is quick and easy. I also love that it can be submerged in water! CONS: I've found that the readings can be stable after a minute or so (you get a smiley face icon) but if I move the counter it starts to change again and settles to a new (usually…

You can probably drop this one

Can't speak to durability yet as I've only just received it but compared to the $12 I had before. which I accidentally dropped into the water for half a second. died.instantly.this just FEEL good. You can see all the silicone pads built into it. I don't know if it can actually be submerged in water, but I feel like I can have an "oh shit" moment from time to time and I'll be fine. Once calibrated, it seems very accurate. I already had another brand of calibration solution and it justified…

The first device was defective, but the new device works great!

Judging by the reviews about this pH meter, my expectations were too high. It looks well made and has great features (always-on backlight and water resistance), but in the end the most important question is: does this pH meter accurately measure the pH of solutions? drum roll. It's not like this. Maybe I got a bad block. The calibration was a complete failure. Followed towards t but received ER1's throughout when moving to second gauge (4.0). I've tried a factory reset (option 7) to no avail…

Good value for money if pH is important to you.

I work in a lab and pH has always been critical when using meters that cost between $1500 and $4000. The main problems with gauges are accuracy and drift. Use case - We are raising freshwater shrimp, so our conditions are freshwater with a total dissolved solids content of 200-250 and pH is important for shrimp farming. Accuracy is the only real way to test the accuracy of calibration solutions - this little beauty was easy to calibrate and you check accuracy post calibration by switching from…

Easy to use and works great

I just upgraded one of the cheap rectangular pH meters and I'm glad I did. Organization of counter and buffer solutions. At first I was concerned that the calibration bottles would leak, but they also seem to stay sealed when stored on their side. It would be nice if the housing were designed so that the meter and all five liquid reservoirs were in the same orientation, allowing the probe tip to stay submerged in the storage solution and avoiding spilling buffer solutions. But like I said, I…

Broke after a few months of use The company has stopped responding

My previous review is below. But I'll revisit this point because the meter recently stopped working and communication with the company was disappointing to say the least. I bought this gauge in January and in June it stopped working. I use a meter every day to determine the pH of the water and nutrient solutions for my plants. One day the meter didn't stop at the readings in the nutrient solution. It continued to oscillate until a "smiley face" appeared, meaning the meter read an accurate pH…

Unfortunately, fakes are just as good here

I have tested 4 different meters and I explains the reasons for my rating. My colleagues highly recommended this gauge to me and after countless calibrations on my other gauges I gave up and bought it thinking it would solve my constant calibration problems. Unfortunately it isn't. I ordered one and it immediately showed my tap water at 8 ph so I wouldn't start using the device with calibration on first use. I replaced it. This meter is better than the two flatter pH meters but the other…
