Aquaboon A CE S Water Filter Review

Have been using this ceramic filter for about 7 years. I get about 6 months of this with the worst water in Arizona. If it can filter Arizona water containing arsenic and other harmful substances found in our water, then it will work wherever you live in America.

It works fine for us! First we boil the water (we live in Africa where we use this filter) but the water that comes out is clean (unlike red dirt from African soil and pipes!) and doesn't smell like chlorine. We have to clean it at least once a week but it holds up well and still filters well.

This filter is totally inferior to what came with the Zen water filtration. I bought this filter in August 2019 and since then it hasn't stopped leaking. this is such an inferior product. It doesn't fit properly, the water kept flowing very quickly. So I don't even know if the water is filtered. I need to find another filter that works.

I would not recommend this filter as a first stage filter. I used it and the water was awful with mud at the bottom of the bucket. To be safe I used the second one that came in the 2 pack. The same thing. I had to buy a better filter from another source and refilter all the water. I finally realized that I need to filter the water twice (my fountain is a mess). The new ones I bought are much better than the originals.

I had to buy this because for some reason the original company's filter wasn't available when we needed it. But it doesn't work as well as the original part. The water seemed barely filtered, if at all. Also it doesn't sit properly in place, it's a bit smaller. Therefore, if you are not careful during installation, tap water can get into the clean tank. By buying and replacing the original again, we see a huge improvement in the taste and quality of our water. We will not be buying this again…

Excellent filter. Until recently, our water source was an unprotected source that became polluted by surface runoff whenever it rained. We have not had any digestive issues related to the water quality while using this filter. A few months ago we properly protected the spring with a spring box and sediment catcher, but we continue to use a filter just in case.
