Peerlessly awful

This is fantastically awful. They look like any other decent cheap cable tie, but they wrinkle easily and the protective plastic around the metal cord is very easy to damage. THE PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS. Too bad I didn't try this while the return window was still open. I will never buy again. I'm surprised Revain included this in their "Revain Recommended" list.

Great, but kinda easy to tie.

My first and only complaint is that I found it kind of confusing myself. Something about the way my dog moves distorts everything. However, that's just the perfect length I need to keep my dog in the yard so he doesn't get out on the street. The coating appears to be of good quality and is not scratched or cracked at all. I definitely recommend it, especially for the price I paid!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Older model

. Used to be tree bound and likes a place to run much more

My dog used to be tree bound and likes a place to run much more. When watching her outside, I attach an extra 10ft leash to give her even more room to run. I wouldn't recommend this unless you follow closely. My dog will wrap up everything and then pretend to be stupid so just unwrap him. I've seen her unravel herself, but she plays the bad card well. Anyway, it's holding up great and my dog is over 60 lbs.

Pros
  • Great for a small house

Great cable in every way!

This cable is VERY HIGH STRENGTH! Brilliant. I bought the first 2 elsewhere and I needed 2 more so I ordered them but haven't received these yet. Little did I know they were intended to be used as suspension wire and I used them as tie downs for my goats and my dog LGD while I was fixing the fence. Update: Got these 2 today and they are the same as my others. I love these cables and hope they never change the way they are made! Looks like they will last a long time!

  • Great for me

Would NOT buy again!

I bought this to replace a weaker one that broke after about a year and a half of use. Decided it's better to get a heavier duty cord to last a little longer. I've had it for 3 months and I finally realized that this is why my thumbs were mysteriously being cut the whole time! There is super sharp metal on the side of the lever that I run my thumbs over every time I hook or unhook one of my dogs to this thing! And it's all cracked and rusty, ready to crack at any moment! It only lasted 3…

Started to rust after 3 weeks

Not sure if it's because I live in Michigan and we have bad weather everywhere but I got it on the 28 steel rod). Today, less than 2 months after the order date, I will oil the second clasp (dog end) because it no longer opens easily. Since I received it it has been used several times a day but I figured I could go 9+ months before showing any signs of wear. I don't know what steel the clasps are made of, but it's not stainless or zinc plated. Otherwise, my 3-month-old Alaskan Malamute is in…

How does my dog get out? She has no fingers!

I bought two of these about 6 months ago for my two dogs. It's already starting to fray and curl and curl, but I live in Ohio with our Ohio winters and I have two dogs who are often confused which can contribute to this problem. The biggest problem for me was that one of my dogs somehow managed to get loose frequently. I tied the leash to her collar and watched her run into the yard with the leash behind her. Later I look out and see the leash on the ground and my dog Mia. The first or second…

It lasts about a year, the dog has dismounted several times

The product is strong and reliable, but my dog somehow managed to pull away from it after 20 minutes. I think it was an accident but, luckily I look at her every 5 minutes or so (she is only 7 months old and can play pranks anywhere) and I can see that she was about 5 feet from the spot, on who usually passes them in the yard. . She looked amazed too! I walked out and she came right at me so it didn't do any harm but I was glad I do visual so often. I can only think that I must have hooked it…
