Good board but not intuitive BIOS

The most notable thing about this board is the BIOS. It's unintuitive and a chaotic mix of directory settings within levels, levels and levels of directories. I have no issues with ASUS and MSI motherboards, but this BIOS is really disappointing. Plus it was reliable with no issues. I had to take it to the store to update the BIOS as I had no luck with a board whose BIOS was new enough to support the current Ryzen processors. Body of the Ghost S1. My two recommendations for ASROCK: reorganize…

  • It's hard to remember, but it was

Initially I was very excited when I received the board because it comes with an updated BIOS to support the 3000 series (and a suitable sticker) was supplied ) on the packaging). However, this quickly disappeared when I realized I was suffering from the non-POST infinite upload loop that many others have reported about here and elsewhere on the web. Even the latest official BIOS update didn't help - on the 3600 it might have only booted every 20 times, which of course is pretty much not quite…

I should have listened to the negative reviews

When I first received the board I didn't have a case and power supply so I couldn't test it right away. I was concerned however when I opened the box and found two bent capacitors still in the anti-static bag and it looked like the bag itself was frayed from mixing in the box or something as there were scuff marks on the bottom . metal at the bottom of the circuit board. I decided to hope for the best and see if it would work once I had everything together. Unfortunately today, after 4 hours of

Broken BIOS to avoid at least after 3.50 for Ryzen 3000

The bios of this board is a broken mess. Don't buy for Ryzen 3000. TLDR: If it boots and doesn't post, unplug the ethernet cable. When I received this board, there was a Ryzen 3000 Ready sticker on the box. Ryzen 3600 installed but there is no post. Changed to Ryzen 1200, booted fine. I checked BIOS version 3.30 (3.20 is the first one that "supports" Ryzen 3000), so I installed 3600 again. Still no launch. Disconnected everything including the SATA cables and replaced the GPU from an XFX Vega…

Fully featured internals mobo

I bought this based on the YouTuber ETA Prime ITX build with the Goodisory A01 red computer case. Unfortunately, the case wasn't available when I assembled this PC, but with a few tweaks, assembly went smoothly. The Mini-ITX form factor was a very attractive idea. I wanted something to replicate and play my Steam games in my living room (via Launch Box/Big Box). The motherboard had the latest BIOS when I booted it up with an AMD 3200G processor so thankfully no additional chip/BIOS update was…
