Good build quality and easy to use, perfect for the DIY enthusiast. I bought mine specifically for the high current DC clamping function. I'm not really sure I would trust its use outside of CAT II as you can't hold those manufacturers accountable if it fails.

I've been in electronics for over 45 years and wanted a current clamp that would easily measure large AC currents. This meter has some features (capacitance, live line, NCV) that you don't typically see in a clamp meter. I have tested all functions of this counter and they all work great. The display is large and lit, which is important to me. Highly recommended for the price.

I am a professional automotive diagnostician. I use this meter daily, mostly in constant current mode, to measure battery charge current and system performance. I bought a DC current test for new cars so I wouldn't wake up the computer and put it to sleep before testing the overcurrent. Typically, you have to wait between 30 minutes and an hour for the computer to go into sleep mode. I compared the voltage, resistance and capacitance of this instrument to my basic Fluke 101. The measurements are acceptable. close to each other.
