Day 1 Notebook Review

Zephyrus S15, 32G RAM, 1G HD, 2080 S MAX-Q Day 1 Unpack and Review Well packaged in a sturdy box. As opposed to accessories, some reviewers here say they got it with their laptop, so I got a laptop and charger. That's all. But for the price I can't complain. The laptop feels very sturdy, you feel like you're holding a metal body when you pick it up, rather than a plastic one. Surprisingly small and light, but I have a 2017 Alienware M15 that weighs like an anvil. It loads fast, the keyboard…

Cool laptop though.

For the price, this is an amazing laptop. Very powerful and protected from the future for some time. But there are two problems. 1. The power cord is too short. The cable from the outlet to the brick is a good 6 feet long, and the cable from the brick to the laptop is less than 4 meters long. That means you often end up with a trained cable, and if you're not careful you can have a brick hanging off your laptop. My previous laptop was an ASU G73 and its power cord was reversed. The long cable…

Gaming Monster Best in Computers & Tablets

Only played about 4 hours. COD: Modern Warfare. It runs at ultra high FPS and is basically all inclusive. My only concern is that I want to buy the 17 inch version. Playing games on a 15 inch screen is eye strain. No, hitting the rig is my business I will update my review after a few hours of use. For the person who says it gets too hot I would say my fans work great and it doesn't get very hot. UPDATE: Revane should clarify this. This is the 2080 Super Max Q version, not the 2080 Super. I am…

Broke after 4 months

Audio jack stopped working. I just bought this laptop 3-4 months ago. Long story short, Asus support had me do everything from reinstalling drivers to resetting my laptop and nothing helped. The only option they gave me was to ship it for at least 2 weeks plus shipping. Not really an option as I use it for both study and work. So I'm stuck with a broken laptop and can't do anything about it as Asus has exactly ZERO authorized repair centers. I can't even return it right now. Performance wise…

Thermals, keyboard and fans are so bad

I bought this device with such amazing features. I expected him to be strong. However, after a few days of use, I had to buy a cooling pad because the keyboard is very hot; I felt like my hands were on the stove. I expected the laptop to get hot, but I've only played auto chess in Dota 2 and League of Legends, which don't require much work from the GPU and CPU. However, I expected the laptop to get hot and was told I had bought a cooling pad - a really good one - Thermaltake Massive 20 RGB…

Terrible Warranty Service

After 10+ years of using ASUS motherboards, components, laptops and routers, my trust in ASUS is at an end. ) to ASUS for repair at. This was the first time I had to send an ASUS product in for repair. After just over 2 weeks in their hands they claimed to have sent it back but it never came. It took two months of calls and emails before they finally sent a replacement, and only after endless calls and emails to FedEx because ASUS actually refused to take any action other than just checking the

Junk Traditional laptops

Disappointing laptop. Badly designed. Cheap keyboard. The key backlighting is not large enough to properly illuminate many keys. No webcam (in 2021 I didn't expect to have to check that). Terrible case design. You have to remove the entire bottom of the laptop with about a dozen different sized screws to access the RAM or hard drive slots. They also added ribbon cables to the bottom of the case that need to be untied before you can remove the bottom. Speakers are brutal. Full volume corresponds

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Annoying

I gave this purchase one star because I received the laptop in perfect condition and was missing other parts/components. The laptop I received has 8GB less RAM than the product description states and the graphics card is not an RTX 2070 Super but a GTX 1650Ti with Max-Q. Please be very careful when purchasing from Revain stock as this is the third or fourth item I have received with a problem.

Nice, but the CPU is NOT 5.1 GHz!

Very good computer, very elegant, nicely packaged and designed. Everything was great from the start and it played great in almost all my games. Aside from the fact that Boneworks won't play even though it (according to the specs) exceeds all recommended hardware requirements, and Boneworks is the main reason I bought this computer. When trying to start Boneworks I kept being told that the CPU was dead and I couldn't figure it out until I ran MSINFO (see image) and found that the CPU was indeed…
