Excellent Reception - Networking Products

Just what I needed for Wi-Fi gaming and internet access. Low latency, the performance is very close to wired and the antennas feel good. Installation was very easy, the drivers were loaded automatically so I didn't have to fiddle with the CD. Just remember that it installs on the motherboard, not the USB port. So if you don't want to open your computer, you can look elsewhere. That being said, most gamers are either building their own PCs or upgrading RAM and such, so it will be extremely easy…

You really get what you pay for!

As an IT professional at a 4 campus school and with a lot of networking experience I can tell you that it's well worth the extra money you spend compared to other cheaper brands, like tp link or others in the same quality range. The build quality and the stable connection really speak for themselves. Considering my desktop is upstairs and 3 rooms away from my Archer C7 router with lots of walls in between, the range it picks up is amazing. I ran a speed test and repeatedly got a ping of no less

Great card, a few flaws

Pros: - It's really fast with AC. I'm a decent distance away and my bandwidth is significantly higher than my ISP can provide. - 100% plug and play with Windows 10. Just plugged into my Asus X99 mobile device and it worked straight away. No cables or other nonsense. You can either place the antennas on a small extension stand when you're away from your router, or simply plug them into the back of your PC. Options, man, options. It's a slim card with a red anodized heatsink. Cons: The mounting…

Strange problems, it finally worked.

Received: April 4, 2019 OS: Windows 10 Home 1809 (Build: 17763.404) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z270XP-SLII bought this card to replace an Asus PCE-AC55BT which has been having intermittent issues recently. Before installing the new card, I went to the Asus site to get the drivers (the CD that came with it doesn't help me as I don't have an optical drive handy). The website has a download utility, but the driver says a driver is NOT needed as the card is compatible with Windows 10's built-in drivers.

  • Great price
Cons
  • Almost never

It took a week for the 5GHz WiFi to work.

Now that it works I have no problem but it was a tedious process. I've tried every driver I could get my hands on, but either it didn't see the 5GHz WiFi, or it saw it but couldn't connect. This device uses a regular chipset so you can go crazy looking for drivers as there are a million of them. Here's how I fixed it: 1. Uninstall the Asus driver or any other WiFi driver if you already have it installed, shut down the system and remove the card1. on Gigabyte MB go to BIOS2. Go to "More…

What can I say about this product. It looks fine and ran on the 5GHz band for exactly 1 minute before malfunctioning again. I was very happy to have bought this card as my old card is 2G and doesn't use the 1000/MB downlink and 1000/MB downlink provided by my ISP. So I ordered it after being very happy with a motherboard I bought from this company years ago for an old gaming rig. The product came in an envelope, the contents were scattered. While everything looked new (and had that new…

Now I'm buying a third one. And it's not because it's broken

I don't usually spend time reviewing things unless they're awful or amazing. This is obviously an amazing device. In short, we bought a new house and moved to Fios. In my old house I had my "office" (adult playroom) in the basement and had ethernet. Now I'm on the top floor and the wireless router is in the basement, in the utility room. I needed to buy a wireless card for my main PC so I chose it because it sounded pretty good. Installed and after 20 minutes I ordered my son. I had no idea…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I have doubts
