Received: April 4, 2019 OS: Windows 10 Home 1809 (Build: 17763.404) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z270XP-SLII bought this card to replace an Asus PCE-AC55BT which has been having intermittent issues recently. Before installing the new card, I went to the Asus site to get the drivers (the CD that came with it doesn't help me as I don't have an optical drive handy). The website has a download utility, but the driver says a driver is NOT needed as the card is compatible with Windows 10's built-in drivers.

Now that it works I have no problem but it was a tedious process. I've tried every driver I could get my hands on, but either it didn't see the 5GHz WiFi, or it saw it but couldn't connect. This device uses a regular chipset so you can go crazy looking for drivers as there are a million of them. Here's how I fixed it: 1.
