Shredded after one use. Do not buy.

Pros: They went very easily. The YouTube video was very helpful. Cons: I used them *once* to go up and then down a poorly cleared road to a ski resort. They worked but were broken. It was on a mix of snow and ice and I never got over 40 km/h and stayed in 2nd and 3rd gear. I shot them at the bottom of a mountain (maybe only 7-8 miles?). They have completely disappeared. Now the material is torn and frayed. There is no way to use them again. Very disappointed. I assume they are only used for…

The letter of the law and smooth surfaces!

If you have to exit the ski resort in the parking lot, that's great. And it's perfect for living up to the letter of the law (in Washington state) that 4WD vehicles must have chains where chains are required. But heck it's really scary even at 15mph in wet/muddy/icy conditions. I took a step backwards going down the hill. That has never happened to me. However, it really works in the snow. And it literally happens in a minute for both sides. Just put it on halfway, move it forward a meter and…

They performed very well on slippery roads. Even maneuvering around our local Lowe's and ShopRite lots, the car handled them very well on our tires. They are easy to install and easy to take off. With the ride to our house which is on a hill they made it 100% better than without. But they didn't pull us up our steep road. We completely destroyed them through our fault and not the fault of the manufacturer. We immediately ordered another set. We've made our driveway a little further than without

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

Hill Turn Accessories and Parts

This product is not recommended for prolonged use. This doesn't work well in wetter snow as the snow will go through the sidewall grating and cause the toe box to pop off center. The claim that they self-center is debatable as I had to constantly stop and adjust left front toe and yes I had socks on all 4 tires. it was pain If you're using them to get out of a driveway or into a hilly area, they work great until you start making turns up a hill, then your front end slides to the side (facing…

Works well but don't expect them to last long

Just got back from Yosemite and Tahoe National Parks - lots and lots of snow. + The ease of putting them on is amazing, can take 2 minutes max and you can't screw anything up, they work really well. CalTrans looked at them and they let me go but had doubts that they worked well - I was very very careful never to exceed 30mph however snow/ice conditions are rare, often is the road a mixture of snow and asphalt. Asphalt wears away the fabric and creates holes. In very cold conditions, the fabric…

Camaro with summer tires

A friend from Europe recommended them as a cheaper alternative to winter tires. While driving a rear wheel drive car or other car with summer/racing tires in the snow you might not want to do this, but these socks can really get you out of some sticky situations. I have a very short commute to work. (2.5 km) and that's why I didn't want to buy winter tires, especially since I can work from home even on heavy snow days. my office (no snow expected in the morning but 10 inches when you get home).

  • Nice

Works great in winter!

After reading reviews and speaking to a local tire shop I decided to give it a try. Tire shop charged $130, got Revain finishes for $80. I drive a 2012 Camaro V6, rear. I bought them on 11/16/19 in preparation for the winter season in Granite Falls, WA. During the week from 1.20 p.m. to 1.15 a.m. .20 We had quite a bit of snow. They worked great! 1. During this time I drove about 50 km with it. They have signs of wear but are still usable. I haven't driven (or tried my best) to go faster than…
