I just received this new tripod adapter and I'm going to try it right away (in case I need to send it back right away!). So far, so good. The adapter prevents vibrations between the tripod and the binoculars. I shouldn't have said that, but of course there's vibration when you bang the tripod and/or bang your face on the binoculars.
