Really good quality

For the price I have to say this lanyard is incredibly good. The wood is exquisitely crafted and offers incredibly good value compared to slings in this price range. I bought a large one to cover just about every knife I have and it quickly cleared the edges of my Bark River Aurora, a few Spydercos, LT Wright Genesis, etc. I would happily pay a bit more for a BC to have the black/grey connector for the other side of the strap. Otherwise I would definitely buy another one. BC, if you're…

Looks better than it works.

This fixed lanyard is made from a beautiful piece of wood. My gripe is that the skin is so slick (even after trying to roughen it up with a wire brush) that the green compound doesn't penetrate the pores, just forms a waxy layer that floats on the surface. Then, as you can see in the photo, when rafting, it quickly begins to crack and peel. I end up having to take it outside and brush it on a power drill about once a week to remove all the compound from my skin and then start over while it just

NO TALK good for power tools and hand tools

Decent product saved me time making my own. I would have to buy a piece of leather for about $18, some glue, say $5 as wood, another $5 as a jewelry joint, $10 as time to make it, say my time is worth $20 an hour. Cutting takes a maximum of 30 minutes. , grinding, drilling, cutting leather, gluing. That would be $48, double what that sling cost. Comes with jewelry link. Some reviewers say it's difficult. Heat it up and rub it into your skin (no brainer). Time will tell if this company is any…

Excellent product at a good price

Excellent product at a good price. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the leather's strange black tanning. However, the leather is of good quality and I have had no problems with it. Even when the sling is in use, it still blackens with steel; So perhaps the color was chosen to reduce the psychological impact as the line darkens after use. According to the description, one side is smooth leather and the other is more like suede. My sling had smooth leather on both sides, which I prefer…

Good rowing strap for use with Compound

Definitely recommend. It's a solid piece of wood with subtle leather on either side. I paid about $28 after tax for this sling and it was advertised on every page as an 8x3 inch leather sling. It was actually 9x3 when I got it which might have been a coincidence but idk. So for the price I would recommend. Although there were 2 things I didn't like. 1) This is the smooth side of the leather on both sides of the webbing, this product does not have a "suede" side. And 2) the composition is not…

Good sling. Smooth leather on both sides

Good sling. The only thing I had was smooth black leather on both sides. It seems that some people have a smooth side and a softer side, as do many other lines. Apparently softer is better for applying compounds?. Not sure if that's good or bad or what actually is better for smoothing, smooth and smooth or softer. But overall it's a good line. I use the green mix on one side and just finish with the leather and it gives my knives a razor sharp edge. As an experiment, I bought a new all-purpose…

50/50 Nothing fancy here

I bought this to replace my hanging strap in Chicago with something I could just sit on my countertop. The idea is great and the leather is fine, but the problem is the wooden spatula. One side is flat and works great. On the other side is an arch that runs right down the middle, making it almost unusable. I might be able to cut my hair with an X pattern, but I don't want to risk ruining my razor. Therefore 50/50 as only one side is safe to use. These guys need to start using different blade…
