No leaks. Works perfectly.

I bought this for our 2007 FJ Cruiser 4WD. Looks the same as the original filter. The seal arrived in good condition and was installed as expected. No problem. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Worked and arrived on time.

I found this kit to be of high quality. The filter/strainer was almost identical to the OEM version I removed and the gasket worked fine. The gasket folded into a small box, but once it lay flat I had no problem installing it.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • no power

Fits perfectly! Best in Transmission Filters & Accessories

Perfect for my 2005 Lexus GX-470. Keep in mind that if you plan on changing the transmission oil (full drain and refill) like I did, it will take about 3 hours as it's quite a long process, although not too difficult. However, keep in mind that this is a very complex process with a series of steps that need to be followed literally. (Documentation abounds online. Or email me and I'll be happy to send you what I have.)

The gasket is thinner than the original

I got it for my 07 Tacoma. Everything went well except the gasket is thinner than the OEM which causes a leak. This gasket is 1.75mm thick; Shank 2.20mm. Rather than just reusing the original gasket and risking a new leak, I decided to use both. It worked. Another issue is that the holes are smaller, which can make initial installation difficult as you have to hold the pan with one hand and screw the screws in straight. Works well if you have cleats - m6 25mm cleats work well.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Was damaged

Exactly the same as the original filter

Exactly the same as the original filter that came on my '05 4Runner. After just over 90,000 miles my "sealed transmission" fluid was turning slightly brown and I felt like changing the fluid was good preventive maintenance. The new filter came with a new o-ring and fit just like the old one I took out. The gasket fitted perfectly and the mounting holes were slightly smaller than the 10mm bolts, just the right size to hold the bolts for easy pallet reinstallation.

  • Pleasant

  • Disappears

Fits my '07 4Runner as OEM. Looks just as good.

When my 2007 Toyota 4Runner had about 50,000 miles on it and I fitted an external transmission oil cooler (V6 not included) I decided it would be a good idea to change the transmission filter. . This kit fits the same as the OEM, both filter and gasket. Now that I've changed the filter once, I'll probably never have to change it again, as it's really only there to filter out the larger metal particles that *should* only fall out of your transmission during initial wear. If you need to change…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Excellent quality filter and gasket

The kit was of a very high quality and was a perfect match for my 2005 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4 with 4.0L 1GR-FE engine and 5- gear transmission. The holes in the rubber pad hold the transmission pan bolts in place, making reinstallation of the pan easier. Since the gasket holds it in place, you can screw it in by hand a little while holding the pan against the gear with your other hand. Very beautiful. I used a coat of RTV Gasket Builder between the gasket and the transmission because it was

Pros
  • Consistent test results
