Beck Arnley 201 1684 Back Up Switch Review

Fixed intermittent backlight issue and camera not working. Look and fit like the original. Installed on Mitsubishi Eclipse 2004 with V6 engine and manual transmission.

Although Revain online catalog lists this reverse light switch as for 1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 420A 2.0L DOHC engine and F5MC1 transmission (built by New Venture Gear as A578 and fitted to Chrysler Neons 1994 and later) this transmission-mounted shifter is actually designed for the 2.0-liter turbocharged or 2.4-liter SOHC engine. Update: Consider Airtex 1S4941 for the F5MC1 gearbox. Also suitable for other vehicles with night vision A578 such as Dodge Neon.

I bought this switch for a F5M21 transmission on my Mitsubishi Lancer 97 (94 US Mirage S). I had to use a rubber ring to separate it from the gearbox a bit as it is 1-2mm longer than the stock rear derailleur. That being said, I highly recommend it, and sometimes you have to understand what's going on before you think something's broken.
