Description of ⚡ Beleeb 5 Amp Auto AC Variable Voltage Regulator - Max 500VAC, 120VAC Input, 0-120V/130VAC Output

a variable AC input to a transformer input DC bridge rectifier to produce a variable output. Max. 500VA,Input Voltage: AC 110V/60Hz ,Output Voltage: AC 0-130V/60Hz. This variable transformer is the perfect speed controller. The speed is infinitely variable, and because a transformer doesn't chop up the AC waveform like electronic speed controllers do, there's no noise, humming, etc. In order to purchase the right variable transformer, it is critical that you know the amp usage by your electronic device. It is always best to be conservative otherwise you risk destroying the variac and it can be very dangerous. For example, if your device requires 5 amp, buy the variac with up to 10 amp. A rating of 500VA means that at 100volt, the unit can sustain at maximum 5amp. Using it for Guitar Amp ("Brown-Sound") and for controlling a transformer for Lichtenberg wood burning.

You get what you pay for

This unit is not a Superior 3PN-116-C, but then again it didn't cost $600. It arrived on time and seems to work well for what I'm using it for. My bosses are 15/20 years old. Let's see how this one holds up. One thing to note, this block is huge! Twice as big and significantly heavier, but again, I'm not complaining about the price difference.

Fits perfectly with built in fan

So I have a Tjernland 6" built in duct fan that I wanted to slow down. linear to control. Now with this thing, ZERO hum, at any speed and full line control. I can't talking about the voltmeter on the front panel because it doesn't make much of a difference to what I'm doing, it's worth the cheap units, it's big and quite heavy so expect that.

Great for my 20 watt tube amp

This CVT works great with my 20 watt tube amp. I turn up the main volume to get the power lamp distortion and then turn down the voltage with this device, which lowers the volume to a level that doesn't cause bleeding from my ears :) Not sure how exactly the dial is as I have not tested it. , but I'm pretty sure it's close if not exact. The Variac comes with extra fuses which is nice although never one has blown. This product works great for what I use it for.

Arrived damaged and risky but still works

I've wanted one of these adjustable transformers for a long time. I finally got a chance to get it, but it arrived with a shaft so bent it crashed into the chassis around the shaft. So it was either hit or dropped to eliminate that kind of damage. Even in this condition it worked well. But I couldn't salvage it because some internal parts might get damaged along with the bent shaft. It would be risky to operate it under such conditions. I had to return it and hope they didn't try to sell it…

Loose screw in the case

When unpacking there is a knock in the case. In the light of a flashlight I saw that the screw turned freely inside. After disassembling the case and looking around I couldn't find where the screw could go, no obvious screw holes, no loose wires. There were also no missing screws or loose wires in the control panel. Rebuilding and unit testing is fine. An extra screw must have been left inside the device during production. I suggest that each of these Chinese devices be thoroughly tested by…

Excellent value, but measure the output voltage!

Robust, infinitely adjustable switch and socket of good quality and large capacity. Excellent value for money and quality. Note that the voltages printed above assume an input voltage of 110V. In my house it's closer to 126v, so setting the knob to 110 gives 126v! Bottom line: don't rely on the label. The meter on the front is pretty close, but it only reads a few specific voltages, so I'd recommend using a meter to check what you're getting. My solution as shown in the picture was to use a…

Excellent variable transformer

This variable transformer works great, AC at the wall is about 121V for me so it can go up to 150VAC. I'm not entirely sure if this autotransformer is isolated as the description says. I've always assumed autotransformers are not isolated, and a continuity test between output ground and my output ground showed continuity. After checking this and checking the internal wiring, I replaced the analog voltmeter on the front panel with a digital voltmeter. Adding a 110V -> 8V transformer inside…

Review and modification of the desktop Beleeb Variac.

Beleeb Variac Table View This is a 10A, 110VAC (1kVA) model. such a change. With an input line reading of 120 VAC, the no-load output produced 120 VAC with a knob setting of 107 VAC. This corresponds to an error of 11% when setting the controller. At 130 VAC full scale, the output is 147 VAC. The handle is very firm and feels smooth. The power button is made in the form of a rocker with a built-in red indicator. The Variac also has a small analog voltmeter on the front panel. It has a…
