Connected Hubs - Networking Products

I have 8 USB ports on my desk but only 4 on the back and the rest are hidden behind a sliding door on the front (not suitable for permanent connection). I also use another powered hub that is further away from the computer. I use this no-power hub for my keyboard and wireless mouse dongle and it works great. I had to use the short extension cord that came with it, so I attached the hub to the side of the computer to keep it from hanging around. I'll probably move my webcam to a hub as it's…

Works well - Networking products

This unit is quite bulky for use with a laptop, but is securely mounted and portable. I haven't used the power cord yet. The hub's bottleneck allows me to plug my mouse's nano USB into an adjacent port. Otherwise, the hub will interfere with standard USB sticks and flash drives. So be careful if you have to use an adjacent port.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Flexible, functional, perfect

I have had this item for a year now. I've used it with a laptop and a desktop computer. I've used it with and without the power cord that came with it. I like the flexibility of using it powered or unpowered, with or without the included USB extender (so it's not sticking right out of your computer for someone/something to swipe it off the side). It helps me turn my computers into a full retail store. Point of sale systems with credit card and barcode readers, receipt and bill printers and cash

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • No color required

I should have read the description a little more closely

If I had read the description - "Connection of up to 4-way devices or 2 devices without a power supply unit" - a little more carefully, I probably wouldn't have done it have ordered. I wanted to use it with a Surface Pro and didn't need additional power adapters. I think it's the attention to detail. Otherwise it works well with only 2 elements connected. live and learn

Pros
  • Expensive, but decent
Cons
  • Empty

I liked it but then it fell apart!

It was a great little center; I plugged it directly into my computer (no extension cord) with the touchpad, camera, and external hard drive attached and had no problems to report. But this week, the metal piece that connects to my computer started to detach from the hub and then literally fell apart (the metal connector pulled out and got stuck in my computer's USB drive, and one of the pins inside fell out). Had this hub for about 11 months. Unsatisfied! Recommendation: When you buy this hub…

Working but not charging iPhone (3GS)

My Gateway laptop has four USB ports, one is being used for a bluetooth dongle and the other has stopped working for some reason leaving me with only two ports be available. USB cable adapter that adds five ports (Looks like squid-like electrical cables and works great when the laptop is stationary. I was looking for a USB adapter that would provide additional ports, but didn't have a cable of any length. The adapter from Belkin was exactly what I was looking for and I was able to use it on my…

Convenient, Plug and Play, No Cables

The Belkin USB Thumb Hub is very convenient. Most USB hubs have long cables that you have to fiddle with, but these plug directly into your computer's USB port. I have a laptop and this makes it much easier to use bluetooth, wireless mouse etc. Most laptops don't have enough USB ports and this solves the problem.
