Bell Revolution Adult Helmet Black Review

Bell is known for making quality and safe products so I chose this helmet for my son. The adjustable interior offers a perfect fit and excellent protection. My problem came from the cheap material used for the visor as it came loose after a fall. I understand that a plastic visor is not designed to withstand multiple direct impacts, but breaking off after a small impact is not enough.

Our children's heads are important. This helmet is a cheap Mips helmet. I wanted a Mips helmet for comfort and safety, but can't afford more than $100 since I have five kids. We've had other Bell helmets that have been solid. It has such a thin, loose plastic body that I'm nervous about using it. The shell is really fluffy. This helmet doesn't stand up to mountain biking. I will probably have to send it back and order a more expensive helmet.

Coincidentally the only color available matches my daughter's new MTB perfectly. A light shade of gray on the frame with light accents that match the cycling chic. ok, enough about the fashion aspect. This helmet is like most. Adjust the straps around the ears, under the chin, make sure you are comfortable. a few clicks on the steering wheel and off you go. Will update if I have durability issues. Bought this bike helmet for my daughter because I read that Bell helmets are wider in the middle than Giro helmets. Of course it was 3/8 inch wider and that made all the difference. Also, the back of the helmet was thicker and better than the older Giro model. The fit was perfect and I was glad MIPS was available for $35. However, he came with a factory wedding. The visor was too short on one side so the hook ended up not fitting in the vent and stuck loosely to the side. The materials were of pretty good quality and felt the same as other good Bell helmets I've had.
