BEP Digital Voltage Sensing Relay Review

I used this to replicate a factory dual battery setup in my Yamaha SX210. According to the repair manual, it is a similar or identical part.

Very reliable switch. Very easy to install. I ended up loading my boat with two batteries. There should be more information in the manual, e.g. B. required cable cross-section and which fuses can be used, but there is a lot of information on the Internet about these switches.

Keeps your extra battery charged and isolated with no voltage drop. The old-school double diode isolates 0.7V between both batteries due to the diode contact resistance. Can be connected to a remote switch to turn off and to a remote LED to monitor operation. I've had one on my boat for years and now on my pickup truck and they work perfectly.

Works great. I set up a double battery in my truck. I spent the night with the second battery on a trip from New Mexico to California and back, I ran out of the second battery a few times but my starter battery was always charged and ready to go. The instructions were easy to follow. It installed easily in my engine bay. Looks good and seems sturdy enough to last a long time.

I used mine to power multiple loads from a secondary battery. I then installed VSR so I could disconnect those loads from my generator with an override. This allows me to get rid of the dimming of the headlights due to the heavy load. After using the override, the VSR will automatically resume charging after ten seconds.
