The valve is leaking and the nozzle sprays.

Brand new pattern did not work. The valve is leaking and the nozzle sprays. I think I'll try to find a used one on ebay knowing that an old one made to a higher standard will perform much better than a new one that was so sloppily made.

Pros
  • practical
Cons
  • thin

Almost impossible to ignite.

Waste of money! I had an old Bernzomatic that served me well for many years. It's almost impossible to light - at best it takes about 20 tries with the Striker, with the flame setting very low. anything above it barely burns and the flame goes out. It's worse than useless, it's frustrating.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Disappointment with propane burners

I have used the same product in the past and have had good luck but this new one I got was a real disappointment. It just doesn't light up when the fuel level is reduced to extra low, low, medium, or high. Works about a second and goes out. I thought the propane tank might be bad or low pressure, but got the same results with a new one. I guess for fourteen bucks what can you expect.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Volume

Product arrived in non-working condition

I bought it in October 2020. I couldn't get the flame bigger than in the photo. At this point it barely turns on, and if I open it further the flame goes out immediately. Can't burn, solder etc anything. Works about as well as the match I light it with. A friend advised me to soak it in Gum Out. I tried that and now it works properly. However, I shouldn't have done that. There must have been some kind of film on the small holes that prevented the gas from escaping.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Only available in black

Couldn't turn off

I used this flashlight to remove a rusty muffler. It worked fine until I finished and tried turning it off. When I turned the knob the flame decreased but didn't go out. I closed the valve to the end and it kept burning. I rolled out from under the car and smothered the flames with a rag. No harm, but not being able to completely extinguish a flame can be dangerous in other circumstances. Otherwise a great product that works as it should. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the security

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some bugs

Fool me once: Welding gear

I bought one of these but it didn't have a propane connection. How general. It's just a solid brass tube. So I bought another one and the same thing happened! Completely solid! What is your QA team made up of, a monkey and a big green button? It can be worth testing your products before shipping. Update: Unfortunately for Poopyface, who said I don't know what I'm talking about, I haven't really thrown away the two flashlights I got years ago, and I'm also the proud owner of my dad's microscope.

Pros
  • Brass construction for durability
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great quality but with feeding and ignition issues

First of all I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this product. It fit perfectly and was exactly what I needed for my outdoor grill. Firing this device, however, is a whole different matter. I bought a flint igniter for this torch and every time I wanted to use it it took me about 7-10 tries to light this torch. Of course you could just make a fire and then use the fire to light your torch, but I would prefer a torch that you could light :D Anyway, once lit the device works quite well but…

Pros
  • Manual start (Lighter with Bernzomatic Spark Lighter, sold separately)
Cons
  • I will add later

NO HOLE! But it works. this is pure MAGIC!

so I've seen all the negative reports about there being no holes in the tube that the end cap screws onto. I have previously bought another flashlight and was disappointed with how big the flame was, I needed a nice blue pencil flame. therefore this is recommended. Well I have it and what you know is NO HOLES! I thought for a second I screwed it up too. then i remembered i had an old lantern in my garage, how do you know it's the same model! so i unscrewed it. and no holes! Pure magic! so I…

Pros
  • Only with propane gas such as Bernzomatic 14.1 oz. Hand Held Propane Torch Cylinder
Cons
  • Only available in Black
