good but PAIN - reptiles and amphibians

I really like this terrarium. I use it for my new hermit crabs and love the thermometer and humidity sensor. HOWEVER it was an absolute pain to set it up. Each acrylic sheet is covered with "protective" stickers on both sides, this wouldn't have been a problem unless it took an hour and someone helped me to finish it. Not only that, it was so difficult to put together and the instructions were useless so it took another hour. It was just a headache. Was it worth it? Yes it is possible but you…

I advise against using it on tarantulas.

I bought this for tarantulas. Maybe this is normal for reptiles, but I found it to have design flaws in my opinion. Acrylic is too thin. In less than a week, the sides started sagging and the upper warped. This created holes at the top and front that could easily become escape routes for young tarantulas. Since then I've been trying to attach the lid with acrylic hinges and add acrylic tabs in the front to hold it together. I bought it because I liked the size and if it wasn't for so many…

with the sticky paper wrapping each piece (it comes off in small sections, for example). So I had to use my fingernail to pull up the edges and ended up scratching the acrylic. I don't know if the company is trying to be economical/eco-friendly with paper as opposed to cling wrap/film. But with cling film/foil it would be a lot easier. Also, it would be much faster. I spent about a good half hour unpacking each part while fully assembling it took less than 10 hours. Apparently the company has…

Surprisingly difficult to set up and not very secure without extra measures

I like this box because the vents are on the side for a good view from above. I also like that it already has a temperature and humidity sensor. However, there are a few things to watch out for. It takes forever to peel off the brown sticky paper from each side of the acrylic. Very difficult if you don't have nails like me. I had to use a knife but be careful not to scratch it. It took me about an hour to get everything clean because it kept ripping, so sit back and pour yourself a glass of…

Great little tomato frog home!

I wanted to put something light on top of my chunky frog tank to accommodate this little tomato friend as space is expensive in our small house. I took a chance on this largest acrylic tank and am happy with it so far! It took some time to peel off because the acrylic panels don't want to peel off and the paper film doesn't want to come off. on separate satisfactory sheets, but rips around all the holes and edges of the connecting pieces of the puzzle. I make acrylic pendants as part of my art…
