If you're not very good at removing body parts, especially pumps and bars, you might want to think twice before attempting this project. Anyway, with a pretty good knowledge of how to take things apart and put them back together again, it took me a whole day to get it all done. The instructions were terrible and common sense was key along with knowledge of construction and engineering.

Had to contact Blue Ox as the hitch adapters protruded about 1/2 inch from my bumper making it difficult to connect. It also caused damage to my bumper's paintwork due to pins and safety hooks rubbing against the bumper. Blue Ox recommended the new and improved BX2412, installation was as simple as removing 2 hooks and installing new hitches (left and right) and only 1 hole to drill. I received the plates at a great price and the delivery was early. I installed them yesterday and they took 2.5-3 hours to sit on the floor in my driveway. I raised the front of the truck by hoisting it onto wooden boards about 4 inches high. Removing the choke was easy to start the project.
