Based on our own experience, these emitters have proven to be a fantastic heat source for our pet reptiles. The blue glow adds a nice touch to their terrariums while providing consistent warmth. The compact design also makes them easy to install and adjust. However, the price point may be a bit steep compared to other similar pet supplies on the market. Overall, we highly recommend these emitters for anyone in need of a reliable heat source for their terrarium.

This attachment is made from a higher quality and thicker aluminum than most competing products. It loses less heat and better directs it to where your reptiles want it. It's easy to tell the difference as the light doesn't feel as hot as other brands when using a bulb of the same wattage. That's how they did it many years ago. Highly recommended.

The dome is said to work with mercury vapor and has a power rating of up to 160 watts. It does not warn that using a 160W mercury lamp will cause the device to reach dangerous temperatures. It's a good thing my lightbulb had a circuit that detects high heat because the light was almost out of range when my lightbulb went out. DO NOT use the 160W mercury lamp. maybe 120 or less will work. I still needed this lamp for my 150 watt light bulb. This works well for a 150w incandescent bulb.
