The pedals froze while driving.

I love the pedals, they look great and are perfect for a folding bike. Unfortunately I only drove 30km today and they started rubbing, a couple of times actually froze while driving. You can see it in the attached video. Disassembled the pedal and found the bearings were damaged and some were cracked in half. As indicated in the pictures.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Volume

Saves space - adds lots of friction

First shipment included 2 right hand pedals --> Revain quickly sent out a new pack of 1L and 1R pedals When transporting the bike these pedals are very convenient and easy to fold turn around . This removes some of the bike's large overhangs. The pedals are easy to assemble. For ease of transportation, I think you should also consider a way to quickly rotate the handlebars.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Quality

Excellent lock for pedals and cleats

I like the lock because it's compact and self contained. Didn't try to cut it, so I have to rely on the manufacturer's level of security. I don't think a lock protects the bike from theft. See how long it takes to cut or pick the lock and how long my bike is left locked and unattended (about 10 minutes). I think it will take more than 10 minutes to pick the lock.

Piece of shit. Broke after 20 minutes.

One broke after 20 minutes of use. The plastic of the pedal broke at the screw and came off. It's hard to tell if it's a bad design (with plastic threads with no nut) or bad materials. Overall junk. If you're stupid enough to order, don't be like me and wait to be saddled. Now assemble and break. Looking at what's available I haven't found any replacements, but have found many similar ones with poor design.

  • Absolutely amazing!

What a practical thing!

I bought these pedals about 2 months ago and I ride them at least 3 times a week. I was spoiled with my latest folding bike and wanted the same with my Metrobike. What a handy item and these pedals are better made than any plastic pedals I've had on my previous ride. Now I can fit my bike in a small space, take up less storage space, fit more bikes on my bike rack and most importantly take up less space when placing my bike in the back of my SUV. Non-folding pedals are a pain. The only thing I…

It's probably ok if not used much - otherwise Fageddaboudit!

I bought this because the folding pedals make it easy to store the bike in my minivan for long bike rides. They were easy to install and worked well for the first few hundred miles. However, well before reaching 400 miles, one of the pedals broke as shown in the video. That's completely unacceptable to me (I weigh 165 pounds and ride 200 miles a month on paved trails, sidewalks, or cobbled streets). However, if you think of children or other people who can actually only drive about 100 miles a…

Heavy Rider Average

If you are over 190 pounds, read below. If you're using these pedals on a kid's bike, or if you're a very casual rider under 190 pounds, ignore them. I weigh 215 pounds and regularly commute to work (and do heavy weekend trips) on a folding bike using these pedals. Furnished. Something I've noticed about these pedals over the past 6 months is that while they are significantly stronger than any plastic/nylon folding pedals, they have a tendency to loosen/sag. The design of these pedals requires…

Less than 100 miles on - ***updated***

I bought these to replace the folding pedals on my 2020 RadMini. They were easy to install and seemed to be of better quality at first glance. The folding mechanism was better than the Wellgos I've replaced - easier to activate the fold. Unfortunately, the right pedal seized up after less than 100 miles - compared to the nearly 1,500 miles I've ridden with the original Wellgo pedals. In less than 2 weeks these pedals ended up in the trash. ***UPDATE*** Well I disassembled the bottom brackets…
