Tips for Toddlers Ahead - Rowing and Sailing

it takes some of her bounce/impact weight out of the equation but tends to tip her forward (yes she's strapped in back, yes she's tight enough, no, I don't understand how) but it DOES. Just keep constant supervision and teach your kids to swim from behind if they ever land on their own. It's still useful as it allows her to feel the water go with me without fully supporting her weight.

Pros
  • It's Awesome
Cons
  • Expensive

Tilt it forward and face down.

I read the reviews and thought this was the best option for our 21 month old boy. He weighs about 28 pounds, so maybe it's because he's not tall enough, but he leans forward. This helps him levitate, but tipping him face down doesn't help. We will keep it to try when it gets harder. Maybe that's the problem? We bought a crab and it is very cute! It is very durable. It just doesn't work for us.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

Great purchase for summer vacation.

My son is 4 and wanted to be more independent in the pool. I bought it hoping to give up. That works great. It took him a few minutes to regain his balance, but when he did, he liked it. He can even jump off the edge of the pool, because that will bring him right back. Furthermore, it is evident that no one is further than arm's length when using this product. My son is 4 years old and weighs about 46 pounds and fits great.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good product! kids love them!

We bought several of these for our 2-2.5 year old grandchildren. Children can keep their heads above water and maneuver in the pool unaided. Kids really enjoy swimming and parents don't have to hold their kids all the time. I did some research and this is the only buoyancy device in this category that has been approved by the US Coast Guard. They fit great and the boys don't mind wearing them. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great for kids.

I was skeptical about the purchase at first. We wanted to swim where only Coast Guard approved swimmers are allowed. My (then) 18 month old (20 pounds) is very small. 1% for weight and 2% for size. she is tiny But this float fit her well enough to float safely. I feel like the extra shoulder piece on the shirt helped keep it going. The adjustment strap could be tightened for a comfortable and secure fit. The same float was also able to accommodate my (medium sized) 6 year old comfortably. Itโ€ฆ

Also highly recommended for the little ones

I love this float. My daughter is only 15 months old and only weighs 20 pounds so she doesn't technically qualify for this, but it was as close as you can get. She is small but loves to swim so I needed something to protect her. It's obviously a bit big for them, but it still works. She didn't like it at first because it restricted the movement of her arms, but she got used to it. She's brave and jumps straight into the pool, but in this one I feel more comfortable with her in the water because

cute and safe! for sports

This life jacket is great! Keeps my 21 month old 26 lb babies' head above the water and floats stably in the water without tipping over. We tried a few cheaper brands but she dipped her head in too easily and risked inhaling pool water. It didn't suit me. This little jacket allows her to swim safely with her head above the water unless she's intentionally trying to lower it. Definitely feels safe. I also like the top/shoulder straps/tank top as it prevents it from sliding down and helps keepโ€ฆ

Best product for practicing swimmers

I have a 13 month old who is 25 pounds and is tall for his age. It didn't work out as well for me as some of the other reviewers here, but I gave it 5 stars because it was the best of the three I bought to try. The shoulder straps were loosened, but that's recommended for over 30lbs, so can't complain about that. It took a little practice but thanks to this my son was able to swim in the water on his stomach and hold his head up unaided. He has zero swimming ability. So if he knew how to kickโ€ฆ

BUY THESE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

These floats are AMAZING. I wasn't sure about them and I wasn't sure if my son would like to wear them. We put them on him for the first time today, they fit right away and I didn't even have to adjust the back strap. The arm floats were a little big, but just enough that they weren't too tight and he had a little more room to grow. He had no problem wearing them and within 5 minutes of being in the water he passed out on his own (within a few feet of me, floating and circling). After 15โ€ฆ
