Will not fit my car

Contrary to existing reviews, this item does not fit my 2006 Saab 9-5 2.3T. Various layouts and connections. Could be a good product but just doesn't fit.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some cons

This pump works great in my 2000 Saab 9-3 SE

This pump works great in my 2000 Saab 9-3 SE. I was able to save a few hundred just by replacing this part instead of buying a complete fuel pump assembly ($300).

Pros
  • handy item

Perfect replacement for the original pump in a 2000 Saab 9-3

It was a lot of work getting my fuel pump out of the car but once removed it was fairly easy to swap out the pump. Some people advise getting the next size up replacement hose and using a clamp. But I found that if I heated the end of the tubing with boiling water and then applied quickly, it stood up effortlessly and then contracted at the pump like the original. Has been working without problems for over 3 years.

Worked great on a 2002 Saab 95 2.3t

This pump will fit a 2002 Saab 95 2.3 perfectly. This is an exact match. Let's see how long this lasts. It comes in a Bosch box but it's a Walbro pump just like the original in the tank. Additionally I would buy a 1/4" submersible fuel line. I only needed about six inches; Gates part number 27086 and it comes in a foot. You will also need two hose clamps for the injectors. .I bought the wrong size. They come in my tool box. The right size is 11mm to 13mm. They fit perfectly.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works perfectly! on electric fuel pumps

This fuel pump works great. Does what it should. Installed about 2 months ago. I also recommend changing the fuel filter. Improved fuel economy by about 1.5mpg which I would attribute to replacing the fuel filter). But so far a good fuel pump. However, I would recommend purchasing a "kit" if available, which includes some of the external accessories needed for a hassle-free installation. Would buy again. By the way, as for the delivery service, EXCELLENT! The ordered parts came very quickly.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not the best

Saab OEM Fuel Pump Replacement

My son's 2002 Saab 9-5 Aero died suddenly and we were towing him back to the house. After running the diagnostics I found the fuel pump had died and ordered a replacement from Revain. The job took about three hours, mostly because we had difficulty removing the fuel pump assembly from the gas tank access hole under the rear seat. The hole is almost the same size as the fuel pump assembly so you have to maneuver it or it will never come out. After removing it after much gnashing of teeth and…
