Works very well with aquarium heaters

I placed this 50 watt heater in the hidden filter stage of my 3 gallon Marinland aquarium. It quickly provided a stable temperature of 75F for almost a week. That's exactly what I set it up for. Very happy with it (as was my fish).

The temperature isn't accurate, but it never is.

Works great, love that the controls are outside of the tank on the cable which makes setup easy. However, always use a separate thermometer for accuracy. So I don't consider it a defect in the product. But just a general problem.

Very satisfied - Aquarium heater and cooler

Very satisfied with this heater! For one, its size is amazing! I almost thought I was being ripped when I opened the box and saw mostly wires until I pulled it all out and saw a little heater! And its white, smooth appearance is very pleasing - not too uncomfortable in the tank like many other heaters. And the temperature was pretty constant, I was fine with the temperature. It stays at 80.8 most of the time, but there will be times when I've tested it up to 81 degrees, but it's never changed…

Malfunction. Suitable for aquarium heaters and coolers

Defective. I've been eating fish for months, turned on that heater and my god got sick the next day, floating on his side on the floor and hiding in his cave most of the day. I took it out, waited a few weeks and tried again, and again my fish got sick. I tried to follow the instructions and temperature recommendations. I think it may have overheated/never turned off. When I took it out a second time, there was a brown burn mark in the center. Also weird white stuff on the black suction cups…

The temperature of the tank only varies by 0.1F

I was very cautious when purchasing this heater because it didn't have as many reviews as some of the other heaters on Amazon and because it was very good cheap. . However, it was also the only one with no feedback, the temperature control failing and people cooking the fish alive. I'm very glad I gave it a chance because it works great. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I've been monitoring the tank temp very closely with a separate digital thermometer. The temperature remained…

  • Best in its niche

It's in Celsius, y'all, but it works as it should

I didn't realize, or maybe it wasn't specifically stated, that this thermometer only reads Celsius. A bit annoying, but to make sure I didn't actually fry my fish, and because I don't know my Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion, I Googled this shiz. Anyway, if you need it, just know that it's easy enough. This heater is very compact, which I like. I have it in a 9 gallon Fluval Flex with built in compartments in the back so I needed a smaller heater to make sure it would fit snugly next to the…

Impressive heater! - Aquarium Heater

I thought long and hard about which heater to buy for my daughter's new 5 gallon aquarium and settled on this one. What a winner! I have been running aquariums for decades and heaters have always been such a problem. They need to adjust well and most importantly be reliable, which is why I usually trust Eheim Jagers (of all the controls I've used in the past, the controls are so reliable). But in any case, I've always sacrificed the aesthetics of my aquarium because it's big, bulky, and ugly…

Very compact (which is a plus) but for water flow READ *Updated*

So, like most people, I started by replacing the existing heater for my 10 liter tank had to. But no matter what heater I'm looking for, even the most expensive ones, there are always about 3 of them in the reviews with horror stories about killing their fish. And that's how I found this heater. There were very few reviews, but none were about killing fish. Most of them involved the red light coming on and then going off (more on that later). So what I really liked about this heater is that it…
