Broken on first use. The product consists of two parts. The U-thread did not withstand the suit pressure and rendered it unusable. Don't buy it. Back to the starting point!

Have previously purchased two other clamps from different manufacturers (CURT) at higher prices - both junk compared to this item. You can not only see the quality of this product, you can also feel it - it fits perfectly. 100% satisfied with this product!

5 stars for quality and easy installation. 3 stars for product quality control in general. see drawing; two nuts of different sizes. One fit, the other obviously didn't. The problem was solved at a local hardware store. An hour round trip, 2 gallons of gas, all for a 98 cent nut.

First the nut needs an 18mm wrench. Who is this size anyway? This is not a normal key size. Second, the nut was stuck when I first tried to remove it. You have to loosen it to get the clutch out. Now it's useless. Can't pull nut off or put back on.

A simple, well-made product that works. Easy to install and remove. Got rid of the rattling noise. I've also noticed a significant reduction in the dolphin effect when towing an RV. I feel like this makes my bars a bit more secure as you need a wrench to take them off which makes it harder to steal.

The slots were punched in them before the brake (bend) was formed, resulting in a deformed slot that required extensive filing to insert the clamp without breaking the threads. They feel solid and after my modifications they fit well. Too bad I had to cut off the beautiful black paintwork, now it will probably rust. I'm also looking for two more (metric) nuts to lock this more securely.

This item works fine but as I am using it on a 1 ¼ hitch I had to fit the U-bolt nuts. Without pads it didn't stick. I hope you can see what I did in the photo. I like the stainless steel U-bolt, it feels quite heavy and works quite well with spacers. I would advise the manufacturer to include cheap polypropylene spacers for the smaller coupling.

Used several times, evenly tighten down both sides about 1/2 inch. . I was able to unclip the other side and remove the device. I had to place the u-bolt in a vise and in removing the stuck nut I ended up removing the u-bolt. Now the device is unusable for me. Only a short open-end wrench was used for assembly.

I installed this mount where my eBike holder fits in the body of my 2" hitch. I tightened both nuts before leaving. On arrival I found that both nuts were loose, probably because the holder was rocking while driving. I tried to tighten them but they wouldn't budge. Then I tried to loosen them so I could adjust the brace and try again. As before, the nuts did not move in any direction! They seemed welded. I tried several wrenches of different lengths. In any case, I haven't been able to tighten…
