It's a decent bowl, but you can't just remove the bowl.

We have smaller bowls for our other two dogs and you can easily rotate the bowl to remove it. This is larger and therefore more suitable for our German shepherd, but you cannot remove the bowl for cleaning without unscrewing it from the cage. It would be the perfect bowl if it was easy to remove.

  • good thing

GENERALLY not satisfied.

I bought three of these - one for a labrador/kennel, one for a labrador/golden retriever and one to replace the broken one. My Labrador/Golden didn't even eat from it before it broke the first time, so I ordered another one (stupid!) and it lasted 2 days. My lab/pit used it for four days before it broke. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Good but not great

But good idea. - Birds

Great concept but poor execution. Save your $ until improvements are made. I bought six of these (50-70 lb dogs) and all but one bowl are unusable. I don't know the exact term, but the handle at the bottom of the bowl has fallen off and/or the plastic cross on the bracket that attaches to the drawer has broken. The handle should be better secured and the crossbar should be metal. I hope they make improvements because I like the idea.

The parrot is too smart for this device

To attach the bowl, lower it into the slot, rotate it 135ยฐ. There is a latch that requires a little more force. I hope it will be difficult for the parrot to "unscrew" it. Unfortunately, my pink cockatoo loves a challenge. It took him about two days to figure out how to get it out. I tried sticking on some plastic tape hoping to make the fixation more visible. But that didn't last long - the extra pressure just makes the shell mount pop out.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Perfect for my dog's cage and easy to refill

I was looking for a bowl for my dog's car cage and after looking at about 50 different options I settled on this one. Imagine my delight when it showed up for $6.00. It shipped direct from Petco without Revain Prime but free shipping and was here a few days. I love the fact that I can remove the bowl without removing the bracket. It was exactly what I was looking for and the perfect size for my large pup. It holds a lot of water (two water bottles) and when I fill it halfway it doesn't spillโ€ฆ

Stainless and gray plastic dangles in the bracket. Choose pink instead

If you want a 40-ounce bowl that stays in place, go for pink; they are stuck. I liked the idea of a larger bowl that snaps into place, but both metal bowls I received wobbled when they snapped into the bracket. If you are using it for a dog or an animal that only drinks/eats from it it probably doesn't matter but my parrot likes to stand on the rim of the bowl and he won't do that as it is unstable to stand. So I had to use 40oz plastic bowls instead (the granite colored ones don't fit exactlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine
