Works well for my opinion

My pup is a crazy dog who is still going through training. She needs reminders not to pull on walks, which is natural for her as she is part Husky. This collar helps with her training, and is durable and sturdy. She has not chewed through it yet!

Pros
  • The choke collar design ensures improved training outcomes
Cons
  • Can cause discomfort when wet

Easy to use and humane

I like choke collars for training dogs who pull on their leash. This looked like a particularly good option vs chain. It should be for most people and I highly recommend it.However, in my case I own a 10 month old, 14 pound mini-poodle who is in the most advanced phase of aggressive chewing. He could get it over his lower jaw while he had it on and then it would slip to his back teeth at which point he would gag. I have retired (vs gotten rid of) the thing until he is less "oral."

Pros
  • Provides a humane approach to training
Cons
  • Can wear down over time

Good collars good for me

Got it for my pooch to maybe stop him from pulling as much. It’s kinda helping, we use it daily and he seems to be doing better. As far as quality goes it’s one of the better collars that we tried. Not a bad buy!

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • Dogs can easily slip out of them

GREAT collar: my feedback

I have 3 pitbulls and it's a little difficult to walk them on a harness. i have used the chain chokers and hate them, i always feel like i'm choking them to death! Honestly though, it's the only way otherwise they would pull me away! Anyway, these chokers are made of material and I just feel much better walking them. I would definitely recommend them.

Pros
  • Comes in a range of sizes to fit different dog breeds
Cons
  • May not be suitable for rainy or wet weather

Excellent collar best in my review

This choke collar is made with excellent material. It's strong and well made. I bought this for my American Bulldog who can pull 300 lbs. If this collar can hold him it will hold your dog.

Pros
  • Helps prevent your pet from harming themselves while out on walks
Cons
  • Can cause discomfort for dogs with long fur around the neck area

The collar is made very well, and yes perfect for training. I have a 11 yo male CBR. Chessies are known to stick with a family member of there choosing and mine is no different. Living on property that includes a tree lines and since it is getting dark earlier. I think 2 reflective stitches would be better than the one. But this collar does what it is suppose to and the company delivers as indicated. Not to mention it is cost effective.

Pros
  • Provides pet owners with comfort and confidence
Cons
  • May not provide enough comfort for dogs during walks or activities

Very useful collar!

My pup is all over the place, so I got this collar to try to keep him under control a bit more. We train with it and on occasion use it when we go on walks. It’s not been long but I can really see the result – he doesn’t go off in a blur anymore and I’m really thankful because I was just so scared that he may one day zoom right in front of the car or something. We still don’t let him off the leash when there’s potential danger around. But.back to the collar :), the collar itself is good and…

Its that jigsaw missing 1 piece

I train dogs regularly and go through tons of different types of equipment. I prefer dominant dog collars to pinch, prongs or chains. The results are really amazing. However this product is missing one key piece. It needs a fastener to keep the rope at the top of the neck/base of the skull. Without that it is really just a rope collar. Will not buy again.

Pros
  • Made with non-toxic materials
Cons
  • Can cause discomfort for dogs with low pain tolerance

Good prdouct on my review.

The product does what it says. I have a 12 lb terrier/poodle mix and XS is perfect for him. Be aware that if you get one that's too long for your dog's neck, it might be weird walking him with it. The XS model is thinner than I wish it is though, sometimes I worry that my dog might actually suffocate with it.

Pros
  • Provides a comfortable fit for your pet, helping prevent irritations
Cons
  • Can cause overheating in warm weather

Durable, but too small

Nice material—feels very sturdy. Only 3 stars because this XL collar is nowhere near the 25” length advertised. It is just barely big enough to go over my 100 pound Akita’s bear-like head. I would have liked to use this, but need one a little longer.

Pros
  • The choke collar design prevents your pet from escaping
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable for dogs with breathing problems

Stays tight for my opinion

Ok so after using this collar for couple weeks.I found out I do NOT like it.yes its well made.but if it gets in a position where it's not centered on top back of neck.it will pull tight and stay tight.choking my dog.I have to loosen by hand and rotate collar back to top.so there ya go.

Pros
  • The perfect addition to any pet owner's training tool kit
Cons
  • Can cause stress for both the dog and owner during use

Had high hopes but…

Had high hopes for this but started to come apart after about two weeks. The rub casing stripped off and frankly didn’t work well. The color would keep getting stuck on the thick end at the top of the rubber, this blocked the leash from having a smooth joke pull when applied, which is really bad for the dog.

Pros
  • The best combination of style and functionality
Cons
  • Not recommended for dogs with neck injuries or conditions

Good quality - my new review

This product works great for my pit bull boxer mix, he’s 70lbs, very strong, when I take him for walks or need to put him in submission I just give the color a good tug, it chokes him just enough to get his attention to where I need him to be.

Pros
  • BronzeDog
Cons
  • Not suitable for all dog breeds

Too chunky and easily gotten off because of this!

A bit in the too chunky size! I have a big boy and it fit him well but was chunky enough to continually remind dog he was wearing a collar! Came off too easily!

Pros
  • Just a little to thick for my collie but bright so easy to find in poor lighting.
Cons
  • See above.

Worked well. on my review.

This collar works well and does what I needed. The plastic pieces that cover up the where the collar is put together did break off, but is still usable and not really necessary. It is very sturdy…and using it on a 100 pound Cane Corso puppy it had to be. Other than the plastic coverings coming loose, it works great.

Pros
  • Collars, Harnesses & Leashes
Cons
  • Can be difficult to take off

Seems to be high quality!

Just started using this collar 5 days ago. Seems to be sturdy, well made, and very attractive.I got tired of chrome choke collars rusting and staining my dog's white fur.The one concern I have is that it is kinda stiff and I worry about her backing out.She hasn't tried backing out yet. knowing her. its coming.I expect it will soften up with use and after it gets wet a time or two.So far I am VERY pleased and recommend it.

Pros
  • Crafted with attention to detail to ensure superior performance
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable for dogs with thick necks

Bettr than a chain on my review.

I've only had this collar for a week, but so it gives no indication of chafing or tangling and pulling on my dog's hair that I've experienced with chain training collars in the past. It also gives me confidence that she will not be able to pull out of it as happened with a regular collar.

Pros
  • Collars
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove quickly

Dog trainer approved

This collar is my new favorite! It is durable, well made, and vividly colored. It is WORLDS better than a Leerburg dominant dog collar (and I’m a fan of Ed Frawley, but this collar beats his for overall general use)My dog PRANCES in this collar. He has a bounce in his step. Why? No more bulky leash slapping his legs or side-body. No constant pressure. No thin rope digging into him, no thick material awkwardly sitting on his neck. Just a simple, loose, perfectly placed collar. Some things to…

Pros
  • Ideal for dogs that pull on their leashes
Cons
  • Can cause hair breakage and thinning

Well made but can’t use

I originally purchased this product so that I could hang bells around my 14lb Chihuahuas neck to scare off predators. We live in an urban setting but have wild animals (Bobcats, coyotes, javalena, mountain lions etc) and raptors (hawks and owls mostly) that feast on about a pet a week (if the posts on NextDoor are to be believed). Unfortunately the collar was too large (even though I ordered the smallest size) for my little guy as the bells hung down almost to the ground. It did appear well…

Pros
  • High-quality works awesome. Lucy will not get off the leash again!
Cons
  • Can be painful if not adjusted properly

Great quality but problem with plastic pieces

The quality of this slip collar is top-notch and I was originally very pleased with my purchase, but on the first or second walk with my dog it actually slipped over his head and came off. The reason for this is that the plastic pieces at the ends of the rope are a little too wide and cause the metal loop to get hung up instead of properly tightening. My father noticed the same thing when walking my dog and even tried to fix the collar by wrapping the plastic in electricians tape to create a…

Pros
