🔒 Brinks 70mm Discus Padlock 4-Pack - Stainless Steel Shackle, Enhanced Security Locks in Black Review

I have Brinks locks from years ago. These newer locks are cheaper and more fragile than older, stronger locks. Looks like they could be sold at Harbor Freight if it wasn't for the Brinks emblem. No crack in the highs but there is a difference when it comes to this brand.

it's great. 4 locks came, each with its own key, but everyone has the same key. It only took 2 locks for our back fence. I chose to get four identical locks with one key in case I need to lock something else that doesn't require a different key. Round locks are harder to cut because they don't have much room.

I added a note to the order saying they all have the same keys so what did the carrier do? They tore off the tag from a box of locks that had the key number on it to confuse the fact that the boxes had different keys. Also, they were too small, the locks didn't fit the device I needed to lock. So a total waste of $86+ If it was an 80's or 90's lock it might have worked.

The holes appear to be a little smaller than other disc locks we've had over the years. It didn't fit our gate latches with the grommet added - but a quick cut and snip with a utility knife, remove the grommet and they fit (still tight) but they work on the gate. (Basic Stanley slide bolt center latch.) They are a perfect match for our folding door latches (typical warehouse style doors). The quality is top notch and it's definitely nice to have extra keys on my keychain!

Be careful with this product. Make sure you received the advertised item. it says the shackle is made of boron steel, which is stronger than stainless steel and takes 11,000 pounds to cut. and in the photo in the ad there is boron steel on the shackle. However when you receive the item it is just a stainless steel shackle and the box says 8100 lbs to cut. Revain is cool and they're sending a replacement but I'm pretty sure it's the same. This is the second set of Brinks disc locks that I have bought. The rubber on the outside makes these locks ideal for a trailer. No rattles! They work great with my trailers and storage areas. Now they can be plucked or cut? I haven't tried it, but I'm sure if someone really wanted to take them off they could, which is true of any lock. For the price, these locks can't be beat. My trailer has 2 door locks on the back and one on the side door. I used them to lock those 3 locks PLUS I used the 4th lock on a drawer in the back of my truck. The ability to use the same key for all locks makes it easy to open and close everything. With multiple keys, I could keep one on me, one hidden in my truck, and one at home (or at my wife's) in case the others get lost.
