upset. Flexible and perforated.

We bought this because we have friends who use the same type of filter and it seemed like a good compromise. Worked well initially but never caught the faucet and wobbled a bit. I knew not to overtighten because of the plastic threads leading me to think the faucet interface should be all brass. After a few months and a few filter changes, where the filter sits started leaking and we had to throw it away. Most likely a defective unit, but I won't risk buying another one. YMMV.

The product appears to be used.

Condition: Item arrived in an opened box. The filter was also incorrectly inserted into the box, causing the box to not close properly. The filter wasn't sealed in any plastic bag or anything and all had baby scuff marks on it. Usage: exact replacement. When you turn on the faucet, the water flows through this filter much faster than my previous filter when it was new. In fact, it's more like a jet stream while my previous filter was smoother. I'm not sure if it filters water but as I've only…

Filter Works Great: Kitchen & Bathroom Lights

We bought this filter to reduce the need to buy bottled water as I am finding it increasingly difficult to lift heavy crates of water. It was easy for my husband to install the filter, the water is delicious. It comes out with a thin but powerful stream of water. I have my container ready and underneath so it doesn't splatter all over the place. The water flows quite slowly, slower than a normal stream. There is a tab that you have to turn to switch from filtered to unfiltered water. I find it…

Makes my bad water crystal clear!

I love the taste of water through the Brita filter. Our water isn't the best in my area so it needs to be treated with something. I always date it so I know when to replace it. It usually takes me 2 months. After 2 months, my green flashing light turns red. It's great to have it on tap. That way I don't have to keep that big pitcher in my fridge. I can have a glass if I want. When you take off the old one, wait about a minute, then put it on and run cold water through it for about 3-5 minutes…

Brita Water Filter - Kitchen and Bathroom Fixtures

I've been using this for just over 9 years. I walked from one area to another and found that the water tasted like old rusty pipes. Not wanting to buy water to drink from the store, I gave it a try and was very impressed with the quality of the water. I can tell the difference between kitchen water and bathroom water when I use a paper cup to take a sip of water and then realize I had to go to the kitchen to get the sip I need. I find that the cost of a filter is cheaper than buying bottled…

  • Good product for the price

Works well in kitchen and bathroom installations

I have used the Brita filter (faucet filtration system) continuously for 5-10 years and have found it to be good value for money. Yes, there are some issues, but I can live with that. I have read various reviews of this product. In my experience the filter lasts about 2 1/2 months (we use it a lot) and then I change it out. It has a pressure sensitive display. If the pressure increases during use (filter system clogged with debris, etc.), the small window mechanically changes color from green…

Fantastic filtration system

I've been using Brit for years - it makes water taste wonderful - the green light never stops working which is great so you don't have to keep track of how old the filter is, wait just until it turns orange. It's a bit pricey, but it filters out my water, and that's the main thing. Oh, and the device never falls or stops working. Very easy to install, use and maintain. I've read some complaints and I don't understand them. As for the display not working, I've never had a problem. The "Standard"
