soft and easy to knit!

VERY cute pastel colors. I use US 19 knees and it's a nice square with not too big holes. he is so soft!

Pros

Cons

Great color but wrong caliber

LOVE soft yellow is the perfect "baby" pale yellow. But I bought this hoping to make a slightly thicker quilt and the description says 6 gauge but it's definitely smaller. Seems to be quality yarn though.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Damaged

3 times more for a scoop of the same amount.

Rip off. The set contains 3 balls that are 1/3 the size of a regular ball. For the same price per ball. That said, these 3 small skeins cost about $6 each, which is the same price I bought a white skein three times as much for. Added an image for comparison.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Expensive

Too expensive! - Yarn

Super soft and easy to work with. However, I was only able to get 5 rows of double stitches with an 8mm hook per ball. There were also a few spots where they obviously tied the pieces together and dark spots that will hopefully go away with a wash. We bought 5 packs of 3 to make a double size comforter and it wasn't enough. As we searched for more, we found someone selling large skeins for $6 each. We spent a lot of money on it. Find a cheaper option!

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was some

Hard to find โ€œBaby Yellowโ€

This was the only place I could find "Baby Yellowโ€ made from Bernat yarn for a baby blanket. I want to remind buyers that this is the smaller 3.5. ounce ball of yarn, no more than the available 10.5 ounces. strands. So it takes 3 smaller yarns to make 1 larger skein and they are sold in bundles of 3. It wasn't worth it to me as I usually paid $6-8 for a skein of a larger baby. Blanket yarn at my local stores. However, having run out of yellow and unable to find anything locally, this purchaseโ€ฆ

Three small balls equal one large ball. Not worth the cost.

At first I was disappointed to discover that this item was made up of three small strands of 10.5 ounces, the size of a large strand. I don't blame the company because this information is available if you look hard enough. About $16 is a pretty high price for a skein that usually sells for $10, but again that was user error. What bothered me the most was that there were eight breaks in the three strands of yarn. Eight places where the yarn was tied together as if the strands were made ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
