I prefer less translucent materials because they give a smoother print. Less tendency to get stuck/leaving a bunch of cobwebs everywhere. I have not found this filament to be as brittle as some other clear filaments unless it cools. The transparency is very good and so far there have been no knots during unwinding. Here is more information about the transparent thread and the problem of brittleness.
