Generally not bad but they sent the wrong product.

I prefer less translucent materials because they print smoother. Less tendency to get stuck/leaving a bunch of cobwebs everywhere. This does not refer to the Bu-Mat but to the thread in general. Natural PLA prints like oil but when you start adding these dyes it changes the properties of the material and then you get more issues with bonding, tension, poor surface finish etc. This red material goes through my hot end pretty much like the same naturally. The transparency is very good and there were no knots in the .

I have not found this filament to be as brittle as some other clear filaments unless it cools. The transparency is very good and so far there have been no knots during unwinding. Here is more information about the transparent thread and the problem of brittleness. Only the last few inches of the spool become brittle and it's easiest to unload the filament and just snap off the brittle part. White PLA does this too and is easy enough to bypass.
