This tool is very easy to use and has virtually no play. I thought my new rear derailleur hanger was straight, but my SRAM X01 AXS was no longer shifting well. I had to adjust the horizontal angle of the suspension a few degrees to get the difference for accurate shifting in the lowest and highest gears. While this is a decent product to get the job done, there is slight play in the main shaft which causes the measurement point to move about 2 millimeters. it's not much, and there are workarounds (just use the farthest point of the movement as the measurement point). The tool is well built, the thread fits your hanger snugly and is strong enough to snap the hanger back into shape. Mine had one of the tiny plastic caps that attaches the swivel (the hands you use to turn the thread into a hanger)

I got mine yesterday and got to work. my observations. Some people have noticed slight play, which I believe is due to the bend in the switch mount. As with any bend in metal, there is a slight bend just past the end where it should end. It didn't take long to figure out how much it was around the rim when adjusting.
