Sidewall leaks on a tubeless tire

I didn't believe the reviews that said it was a bad tyre. One tire was difficult to fit but held air once completed. Since it was difficult, I figured the other bus just wasn't assembled properly, so I kept trying and spent a day and a half on it. I ended up putting it in the water and the air seeped through the side panel. How is that possible with a tubeless tire? In fact it took about 6 hours to get down. After requesting a refund and ordering a new tire, thinking it was the only defect in…

Buttery smooth, fast and reliable when you need it!

Enough said in the title! but wanted to answer some people. Flex tires are more flexible, which can make assembly more difficult, especially with tubeless rims. The recess in the middle of the rim is used for mounting and demounting the tyre. It reduces the diameter of the rim and provides clearance to lift the bead over the rim wall. The soft tire is also more comfortable. A thinner body has less inertia and requires less bending energy, allowing it to respond more quickly to surface…

everything is fine except small holes

These are the tires that came with my Felt Breed. I've ridden them successfully on almost every type of surface, including some really hairy areas in the swamps I ride. However, I'm on the Florida plains, so I haven't walked them up or down. They are easy to set up tubeless and the 25-30psi pressure makes for a very smooth ride. These are excellent multilayer tires. My only concern is that my rear tire developed a hole in the sidewall that (Stan's) sealant couldn't seal permanently, so I…

Wow! Confidence that inspires confidence on mixed surfaces.

These tires have really improved my driving experience. Riding on pavement is fast but inspires confidence and stability on mixed surfaces. Since the mid 1990s I've been riding my Bianchi Axis cyclocross bike, what we now call a "gravel bike": riding on rough pavement, moderate exploration of mixed (non-racing) terrain. . The bike is stable and my Continental Touring style tires were fine. I recently built a new Surly Straggler that has quicker steering to accommodate varied local conditions…

Tires Claude Monet: Look great from a distance, but not so good up close

TL;DR - Terrible quality control. One tire holds up great, the other is a puncture/tear magnet. Classic Claude Monet tires: Looks good from afar, but not so much on closer inspection. The center tread is thin and doesn't hold up well. Bought a kit for long distances on sidewalks and bike lanes. Adjusted them for a dry fit, then tubeless with sealant, and took a test ride around the area to make sure everything was fine. Leave the tires overnight and the pressure will drop a bit, which is…

Normal gravel tires, especially in 700cx40

Totally normal. I bought a pair in 700cx40 and 650bx47. The 700c actually measures around 38mm, so it's really not as big and flexible as you'd hope. Pretty nice to ride tubeless, installed with no fuss, but the problem is puncture resistance. The third ride suffered a major cut in the side profile, and a minor scratch on the rim about 50 miles later caused the sidewall tubeless setup to fail. 650bx47mm is a much better tire. Just as easy to install, measuring 47.5-47.8mm unlike the 700c…

Puncture Prone Tubeless Tires

I've had this tire for a few weeks now and put 100-150 miles on it. Initial setup wasn't too bad, but not as easy as WTB decides. I use a 12 volt automotive tire pump to provide constant pressure while massaging the bead to seat it. Once the bead is flat, the pressure increases and the tire locks into place. After being on the rim for a couple of weeks and being asked to take the tire off to patch the puncture (more info below), the tire seemed to retain a 'memory' of the shape and snapped into
