Excellent goods! The best on the market!

What a money saver for me! I bought a kit that only has 8 inserts and then bought 2 more for my V-10. Even if you don't intend to do the job, this is the best insert out there along with an install kit.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Yes, they are slightly more expensive, but!

To put it mildly, you get what you pay for. I have purchased other styles and have had mixed results. I run the maintenance department for a company that maintains city buses and of course ^%# you know it's a Ford and it's going to have spark plug problems. They have saved the day countless times

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Clarity

perfect for 2006 F150 4.6 Triton engine

This worked great for my 2006 Ford F150 4.6L Triton engine, bought extras if I need them in the future, you will need to buy a custom triton kit to get drill bits and taps and guidance to get it right, my truck is back on the road with no problems. I bought a cheaper repair kit and it had the wrong inserts so I had to order them separately, the cheaper kit had everything I needed except those inserts so it worked fine for me.

Great design. Terrible quality control.

Great design, terrible quality control. The male thread (which was 3/4 x 16) was cut smaller, probably due to a blunt CNC tool. This resulted in a catastrophic failure, i.e. the insert jammed and broke during installation, requiring the cylinder head to be removed and the insert unscrewed from the inside. The new insert had to be screwed into the 3/4 x 16 die to clean the threads, after that all went according to plan. That little detail; turned a $300, 30-minute job into a $3,000, 30-hour job.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No
