This is the RIGHT SIZE for ANY SIZE - 1/16, 1/8, 3/16 - read on.

This is actually my SECOND camouflage tool. The first one I bought at a local hardware store had a 3/16" gap. It turned out to be too wide for my composite panels! So by buying a 1/16" I can create the perfect bracket, there I always have to line up the boards and get the correct spacing I want and use the tool for what was originally intended to set camo screws at an angle.

Great tool for creating beautiful decks

This is an amazing product. I replaced my old 800 sqm. 2 x 6" by 5/4" x 6" and didn't want it to look 'home'. It's very easy to use and hard to screw up. Each closure came off easily with no hassle or unnecessary alignment or handling the fastener. The instructions are very clear except when they mention using a plank spacing tool.Assuming you haven't ripped your properly dried planks I recommend arranging them as you see fit and not necessarily on starting at one end of the board and working…

  • Definitely a bad product

A good product; Your screwdrivers won't do the whole job

This is a good tool and it does what it says on the tin. They are longer than the average T15 screwdrivers with a "shoulder" to prevent over driving the screw through the bracket/board. Two screwdrivers didn't even work half the deck before they ripped off and were unusable (this is a medium sized deck, 12x36). ends with rotation in the screw head as soon as the transverse shoulder reaches the depth stop of the device. The "teeth" on the bit round out and eventually the screwdriver just buzzes…

Easy to Use, Life Saver, Reasonable Price

My deck would not have survived without this tool. Lay down 120 8-foot (5/4" x 6") deck planks, and the camo tool and screws made spacing and fastening pretty easy. Since you must use the camouflage drill with the tool, it prevents over-drilling your drill, making it almost impossible to over-drill the screws. We even let my little nephew help tighten some screws (with adult supervision). Once installed, the screws are difficult to get out (the threads on the top of the screw go the other way).

  • Nice Packaging

  • Disappears

In a word: EXCELLENT COOL TOOL!

I had to tear down a small bedroom deck to replace the clapboards underneath so thought I'd test this out to make sure it worked really well after replacing the rest of the deck before moving on. DO WILL! Even when we had to screw the board to the sidewall with our face on, the holes were so small they weren't really visible, they looked like a dive and after a few rains they were almost gone. The screws used will work in most situations even without the CAMO DECK TOOL, but of course using the…

This is a great product!

Great product! Deacon without protruding nail heads looks great. If you want to treat yourself, buy two of these and the project will be three times faster. This system takes a little longer to install than installing nails, but the results are MUCH better. If you really want to get your deck right, NEVER go near the end of the board. Look at your current deck. I'll bet dollars against donuts that every rotted board rotted right where one board meets another board and both boards rest on the…

Very good device, but a bit too expensive.

I just finished 800 square feet of decking with this tool. It's easy to use and durable, but here are a few tips/tricks I've learned along the way. The ability to set intervals between instruments is good, but not enough. If you lay down a 10 foot board and only use this tool to hold it at a distance, the board is probably crooked. How much depends on the materials. I bought two of these and will be using one on each end which helped a lot but many of the boards were still not straight. I would

Nice tool! for deck nails

If you want to screw the deck laterally, this tool is sufficient. I install Doug Fir pressure treated. PT wood has a hard surface and typically does not drive nails or screws in as easily as untreated wood. With camouflage screws (NOT slotted screws), the installed decking board is processed well. Without careful installation, the tool will NOT align at 90º to the plank profile. Until you get used to it, make sure it's perpendicular to the board before tightening the screws. Unfortunately, I…
