A reliable product for all occasions, the quality is at the level.

I bought it as a replacement for the 18-55 kit and was not disappointed. I tested 3 lenses in the store - canon 28-105 f / 3.5-4.5 USM, canon 17-85 f / 4-5.6 IS USM and subject. The subject won, moreover, 17-85, being equal in cost to the subject, and $ 100 more expensive than 28-105, I liked it least of all (I don’t know why - I washed it on test shots). Test shots - in "my photos", in the album "Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS"

Pros
  • Cutting. The front lens does not rotate, the entire "movement" of the lenses when focusing is inside the lens. Despite the absence of USM - it is induced quickly.
Cons
  • Distortions - barrels, pillows - everything is with him))

Good value for money, I recommend it.

As a travel zoom for a beginner photographer, it's one of the best solutions considering its price. A fairly light, comfortable lens that covers 95% of the focal range required by most. When there is nothing to compare with - a very convenient lens that will delight. Of the minuses of operation - it collects dust quite strongly - for a couple of months of not intensive use I caught about 3 dust particles for the front lens. After the purchase of 24-105, 70-200, tokins 11-16, the imperfection

Pros
  • Pretty sharp in the center Universal Light Excellent stabilizer
Cons
  • Chromatic aberration Has distortion, especially at 18 Not enough sharpness across the field A vacuum cleaner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

Good glass for every day. The bag doesn't weigh much. Comfortable grip and good weight, which is also in +. With proper use, good quality for the money, it's hard to find something similar with such a spread of F. R. For printing from 10 * 15 to A4, it will do just fine ! Colors, composition, distortions, noises and all buzzwords can be adjusted programmatically. Do you want quality - 2.8 70-200

Pros
  • Price. Versatility. Suitable for polarizing filters (trunk does not rotate) Autofocus is fast (relatively) Macro shot, but you have to get drunk)))
Cons
  • Dark in rooms. The less light, the worse the picture. The vacuum cleaner is terrible. 2 months of operation - the dust has already decently accumulated, but the truth is that the conditions are difficult)))) Autofocus can't keep up with the camera (7D). But out of a series of 8-10 shots, 4-5 sharp ones run up.

Nothing ordinary, a normal product.

Despite all the shortcomings, this is a very decent model, especially for the money. This is the best lens for learning and further understanding whether you are ready to vote with a for prettier shots. There is a backlash, over time a bit of a trunk leaves, but it does not affect the "quality". I repeat, with abstaining from auto mode and minimal ideas of "how this works" good photos. Everyone writes about dust! I don’t know, I don’t have it, although I don’t shoot in sterile conditions.…

Pros
  • 1 Value for money 2 Versatility of focal lengths 3 Decent performance in good light 4 Lens diameter
Cons
  • 1 Soap 2 Noises 3 Often HA, especially in combination with P. No. 2 4 Dark. Indoors external flash, outdoors the sun is WELCOME! 5 Autofocus often breaks 6 Everything backlash

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

All the advantages compensate for the shortcomings, a good puff corrects the photo in the room, but it is not suitable for twilight - dark. I immediately bought a protective filter and a lens hood for it to get rid of "injuries" because with such dimensions it often hits something. The only alternative for your money, the best replacement for whale, ideal for reporting, and just do for all occasions. Complete with a fast fifty dollars - a super set :) I am very pleased with the purchase, I have

Pros
  • It is universal, the range of focal lengths, fits comfortably in the hand and just looks impressive, without usm but fast compared to similar models. Price - I don't see any alternatives for such money
Cons
  • A little dark, at 18mm it’s not a big barrel, at 135mm it loses sharpness. The Trunk has a backlash and it does not fall out arbitrarily, especially if the case is a holster.

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

I took it to replace the whale, there are also 50 1.4 for a 500d crop. FR is just amazing! It draws beautifully only at 100 and higher, there is also a beautiful bokeh, quite sharp! more often than a whale! the color rendition is an order of magnitude better than that of a whale, and even approximately like a fifty dollars. however, it is very difficult to make the background blurred)) in fact, I aim no matter where and the whole frame together with the background turns out to be sharp as…

Pros
  • better than a whale 10 times for sure!
Cons
  • does not draw as a fix)

The product suited me, I will recommend it to my friends.

This is a good lens for: people on a budget beginners in photography tourists. If you don’t expect that having bought a lens for 10000r you will become a super photographer, then it is recommended to purchase the above citizens, the lens is somewhat better in quality than 18-55 kit and has a more convenient range of focal lengths, the only thing that will infuriate you is that in product for $ 300 could not put at least a trunk lock button, it gets out always and everywhere.

Pros
  • Price Versatility immobility of the anterior lens
Cons
  • Trunk always moving offset by the price

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not all bad, an average quality purchase.

Bought complete with 60d to replace 400d + Kit18-55. After several shots in various conditions, I was very disappointed in the new camera - the pictures were blurry . But putting an 18-55 lens from an old 400d for a test, I got sharp pictures. I immediately sold 18-135, it is in demand on the secondary market, I bought 24-105L, now I don’t know any problems. Maybe I came across a low-quality copy, but I don’t advise buying 18-135, it’s better to save up and take a normal lens.

Pros
  • Allows the polishing photographer to experiment with shooting at different focal lengths. Looks solid.
Cons
  • Soaps almost at all focal lengths, strong vignetting with an 18 mm lens hood. The action of the stabilizer is not felt.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

The stabilizer works with a bang, as an "every day" lens is quite suitable. the only thing that seems to me it is a bit dark, I have a Zenith optics, helios 44-2 (f 2), industrial 50-2 (f 3.5) and Jupiter 37A (f3.5) with helios, it is clear that it is lighter, but Jupiter, which is almost the same in size, will be lighter than this canon. I think it is clear to everyone that Zenith optics are much better than this one, but it is not suitable for all shots, and this lens is very good. at 18…

Pros
  • Fast, sharp, convenient, versatile, inexpensive.
Cons
  • I don’t see them for such a lens, even distortions are significant, and to compensate for darkening there is a function in some cameras that corrects them. (Lens peripheral illumination correction).

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

Someone may expect from such a universal zoom the quality of pictures as from L-series fixes, but personally I realized what it was like and I don’t regret the acquisition at all. I am very satisfied with the quality of the Japanese assembly. A very good option for most people who need a camera for the most part just to take pictures on trips and gatherings with friends, as well as for beginner photographers to figure out what they want from a DSLR. I do not like that it does not recognize…

Pros
  • Versatility Price
Cons
  • There are no particular cons. The only thing that annoys is the unwillingness to focus on the autofocus backlight on an external flash in complete darkness (1.8 50 this backlight instantly eats)

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I didn't like it, I don't recommend buying.

Sometimes 18-55 is better than this one, but each has its own shortcomings and the listed shortcomings may seem like nonsense to an inexperienced user, but I would not buy it. Maybe not all 15-135 lenses have such characteristics as mine, but it remains a fact, maybe someone will come across a good copy. This lens is good for shooting outdoors in good weather, but it doesn't do well indoors, especially in low light.

Pros
  • Price, ergonomics, weight, range of focal lengths, stabilizer. Auto focus works well. It's all! I didn't see any improvement in image quality.
Cons
  • I'll start with the smallest. At a long focus in the viewfinder, it is dark at the edges, but it’s good that this is not noticeable in the photo. It soaps, but not all the time, maybe only I have one, the stabilizer works not badly, but soap also does not always affect. Distorts the image, this is especially noticeable if you shoot objects with even corners and sides. Distortion occurs not only in the pictures, but also in the viewfinder, but in the pictures it is expressed less than what is visible to the eye when shooting. Color aberrations along the contour are quite strong and also unpredictable, like soap, sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker, sometimes not at all. Perhaps that's all. The lens was bought with a Canon 650D, but was also used on a 60D, the result is the same.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

It was purchased complete with a carcass (I think that the price and quality in a whale is acceptable, with a separate purchase it is not worth the requested money). I’ve been renting them for several months, it seems that preferences are beginning to emerge - for buying fixes. As an initial lens, in my opinion, the best option (at the price at which it is included in the kit).

Pros
  • The range of focal lengths. Good stabilizer.
Cons
  • Soapy. Dark. HA (but not very critical). Vacuum cleaner - for several months of inactive operation - there is dust and two large specks inside (they do not seem to affect the pictures).

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

The lens was taken with the D550 and was my only lens for almost a year. Convenient on trips, as it has a universal range of 18-135, which covers almost all needs: both portrait and landscape! When choosing a camera, I read a lot of negative about 18-55, I took it purposefully from 18-135, which I don’t regret in principle. Of course, you can take a carcass and an elka separately, but for an amateur or a beginner, I think it will be a waste of money.

Pros
  • Range 18-135 covers almost all needs Price (brought in the kit) Stabilizer Build quality Solid appearance - people around you think you are a VERY cool photographer ;-)
Cons
  • A bit lacking in sharpness The weight

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

Good zoom. I took mine with Canon 600D cameras. I liked it more than the STM version, simple convenient glass for everyday tasks, you can’t imagine better to start shooting. Just a huge range of focal lengths, which is very good for walking, and shooting a landscape at 24mm and taking a picture of birds at 135 is also good. It is also convenient for video, produces good images. Well, real focal lengths on the APS-C matrix 29-216, which, again, are amazing values ! But still, at the short end,

Pros
  • Good entry level zoom lens. Sufficient image quality at the long end. Metal mount, lighter than EF-S 18-55 by 55mm. The stub copes with 4-. Adequate AF, although noisy.
Cons
  • Distortion at 18 mm is noticeable, it gives a barrel. The trunk of the lens protrudes on some (I have 3 such lenses) at the most unexpected moments. Trunk lock missing. Luft the entire lens. Dark F 3.5-5.6, especially at the far end, in the evening you can’t shoot anything without a tripod, although there are no problems when using a tripod. The weight is also not small, but still not huge. Well, the size is also not small.

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

First experience with SLR cameras. I chose it instead of whale, which I am very glad about. Not only does he have a more serious appearance)) I would say menacing, but also an excellent increase. Sometimes I can't get used to the distance to the subject, especially when shooting macro. But in such cases, you can easily switch to the manual mode, and there will be no problem! I am very pleased!

Pros
  • -image quality - decent zoom
Cons
  • -as I read earlier, the moving trunk of the lens :)

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

I use it with 50D. What I like most about glass is that it covers all the necessary FRs, an excellent lens for its price (a new one cost me less than 10,000 on the Internet). For all occasions. Excellent color reproduction, outdoor portraits look very juicy and bright. The hole closes sharply with an increase in FR, because of this it is difficult to use in a dark room without a flash. The focus hits the target in 99 out of 100 cases, it aims at the sun instantly, it gets dull in the dark, but…

Pros
  • - universal focal lengths - beautiful solid appearance (especially with a hood on) - excellent color reproduction - excellent 4-stage stabilizer - quite sharp on a covered aperture in sunny weather
Cons
  • - a vacuum cleaner - darkish - build quality, but again the price compensates for this - Noticeable vignetting at the long end - 18mm barrel is quite strong

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average product, you can do better.

I use it with 500D, I take pictures in RAW, people, nature. Photos constantly have to be pulled out by the camera software. If people come out more or less sharply, then nature is disgusting, I'm talking about a focal length of 18-50, I'm thinking about buying a fifty dollars, but the budget, it all depends on it. If you decide to buy, then pay attention to the build quality, they all play, here and there, the question is where is the least. Good luck, all creative success.

Pros
  • Good for travel, outdoors, use on sports fields. The focal length is enough, you don't need more. Sharp at 75-85 mm, autofocus pleasantly surprised, pointing speed is quite high.
Cons
  • Strange build quality, (I got a Taiwanese assembly), longitudinal play of the focal length ring, backlash of the proboscis, a barrel of 18. The sharpness is so-so, for good luck, you have to shoot one frame several times, then look out for the sharpest frames. Dark, not enough light.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

I originally bought it as a universal spare lens for holidays. Now it is often used as a universal one for reporting (for work), when you need a very quick change in focal lengths and there is no time to re-stitch, and you are too lazy to carry 2 cameras. At a short focus it “soaps”, but tolerably, at a long focus it often shoots better than 70-200 / 2,8 USM (already bought the 2nd one, but it “soaps” and misses more often - perhaps an unsuccessful sample). Of course, you should not expect a…

Pros
  • light, inexpensive, versatile and strong enough
Cons
  • can "soap" on some range of focus

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

I use it with the 500D, as a standard lens, it suits me completely. All lenses have these shortcomings to a greater or lesser extent, and for its price 18-135 works quite well, most of the shortcomings are easily corrected in the editor. I read reviews, some write about "soap soap", I don't know if these are such specimens, maybe the owners have such hands, or maybe they have high expectations. But you can’t demand sharpness from a zoom over 10 thousand as from an L fix. My lathers only at a…

Pros
  • - convenient focal lengths - sharp at almost all focal lengths - excellent stabilizer - low price
Cons
  • - lathers at a wide angle - at the long end it darkens at the edges of the frame - HA

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality did not disappoint.

I took it with a k600d whale, then for a long time and strongly I didn’t understand what and how, because a friend who had 18-55 advised me to take exactly 135. Well, of course, at first it didn’t work, but then I began to figure out what and how and I realized that at 135mm I almost and I don’t take pictures, with rare exceptions, at a maximum of 70. I began to understand what f3.5 is and sometimes this is not enough to get what I want. I am writing a review a year after the purchase, and not…

Pros
  • versatility is the most for those who are lazy. We do not take into account televisions!
Cons
  • dark.
