The stepper motor allows the controller to measure the position very accurately, and therefore the focus does not twitch back and forth, but immediately falls into place without jerks and misses.

I am glad that it focuses nevertheless accurately. The construct is fragile - you need to treat the object very carefully. I’m almost sure that any repair will cost as much as the lens itself. When focusing, the trunk moves out, like in 50mm / 1.4 - that is, you need to buy a lens hood, otherwise you can kill the lens with a light blow to the trunk (I suppose).
