Great paper! on watercolor paper

I usually use Arches watercolor paper because it works reliably in all conditions. I tried other papers because they were cheaper. Big mistake! They were terrible. But this paper is great. It also withstands all kinds of rough treatment and is of excellent quality. Plus it's a really good size - no need to tear up huge sheets into smaller sizes. I miss the deckle edge, but it's worth the sacrifice. It took quite a while to get here, coming from the UK, but it's not an insurmountable problem.

Nice texture and high quality art paper

Until recently I only painted on Arches watercolor paper. However, I've noticed that Arches uses animal gelatin, which I don't want to endorse. So when I searched Google for a vegan alternative to something similar, I came across this brand from Canson Heritage. I drew a few washes on Canson paper and was delighted with the results. There is something very pleasant about the feel of paper. It almost feels like a very soft, heavy fabric. He feels very rich! The washes were very smooth and held…

I prefer Arches

I started Arches many years ago and won't use anything else. The only thing I missed about Arches was the bright white, which I prefer for a reflective quality when using transparent colors. I stumbled upon this paper quite by accident and have never returned to Arches. Some complain about the deformation. This can be 100% avoided by using 3M Micropore Surgical Tape prior to painting. (Available here). This is the perfect ribbon for watercolor paper. Live and learn, right? The only weak point…

Excellent paper for watercolor and gouache.

I would say that this is a good watercolor paper. It's 100% cotton, so it fits well and dries quickly. It rises very well, so if you are a beginner or make a mistake, you can use a paper towel to correct it. It is very durable and meets all the requirements of a professional watercolor paper. This paper works well with gouache. This paper is good for watercolor beginners and will help them tell the difference between high quality cotton paper and inferior pulp paper. However, it's just not for…

Better than I expected!

I usually use Arches paper for my watercolors, but I've heard there are some aspects of Canson heritage that I need to be aware of. i love this paper There is a lot of glue on the surface, so the paint is easier to lift off than Arches. The downside of external sizing is that the paper dries a bit faster, but if that's what you plan on doing, it's not a big issue. general experience. You have to use a good remover like rubber remover, not a finger or an eraser, and not be crazy with pencils…
