We have had the MT500 for over 12 years and it has been the perfect coffee maker. It eventually gave out its last breath and we didn't even hesitate to replace it with the newer MT600. The new model still makes good hot coffee quickly and the new carafe is easier to clean. BUT The new filter holder does not fit properly. It will float out of the indentation when water is poured into it. So no effective water filtration. I thought well I'll just go to their website, leave them an email…

Works great, better than MT500

We have had the MT500 for over 12 years. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end when 500 fails. I ordered the 600 with some trepidation based on the reviews. Don't worry, the machine works just as well as the MT500 and the decanter system has been greatly improved! No more dripping when I take out the carafe in the middle of a cycle! When turned, the lid snaps into place with a pleasant click. The only issue I had was that the unit would not lay flat on the countertop when new. A little…

Thirty years ago I bought a Capresso coffee maker for $120. I remember when I got home I was overcome by the buyer's remorse, $120 was a lot of money, especially back then. But it literally took me over 30 years so I chose Capresso again and haven't regretted it yet. It brews louder than my old trusted friend but makes great coffee and is easy to use and clean. Based on some reviews, I was concerned that the carafe would not keep the coffee warm and that it would spill when poured. I find this…

Not as good as the MT-500. Fit and finish were inadequate.

I have been using a Capresso MT-500 for about 15 years. They worked great, required little to no maintenance, made hot coffee, and lasted a long time. The newer MT-600 Plus is not as well made as the older MT-500. As with the other negative reviewers in these comments, my MT-600 does not have the thermograph drip spout properly aligned under the filter basket. Sweat, also the filter holder tends to pop out of the filter. I paid less than $80 for this device, so at least I didn't pay too much…

Not as good as the old model but still a great coffee maker.

Like many other reviewers I bought these to replace my old Capresso 500. We had an old one, about 10 years old, and loved it. One fine day I just decided I didn't want to cook anymore, so I wanted to replace it with the same model. Well, the 500 is no longer available and it's an "updated" model. Actually not many updates. Actually the changes are disappointing, I prefer the old one. Still, it's a great coffee maker and I still give it 5 stars. First to the shortcomings. The water sensor on the

Exceeded all expectations moving from MT500 to MT600

My wife loves coffee. When our old Capresso died after 6-7 years of daily use, we had to look for a replacement to meet her morning needs. We read reviews of the 485.05 MT600 Capreso and I came to the conclusion that we also really liked our old MT500 (?) and that having a weaker Capreso model would not be acceptable. However, our (wife's) requirements were as follows: 1. Must be programmable - the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the air at the moment of waking up (rather than 4 minutes after

Ticks all the boxes!

I'm pretty picky about my coffee - I used to roast and grind beans but now I'm too busy for all that. My previous coffee maker was a Capresso 471 which I bought over 15 years ago and which still works as well as it used to, but doesn't look as good as it did when new, so we bought a Capresso MT600. I'll list the pros and cons (although all the cons are negligible to me): PROs Has a thermos like a coffee pot, rather than a glass jug. I found this important as glass carafe makers have a heating…
