Big improvement

I often wonder what the hype is about these vertically threaded spiral tips, I mean they can't do much better than my standard straight tips I could buy at the local home center ? Full disclosure, I use them in both my compact router and full sized plunge router - they work fine in a compact router but I was really impressed with how they performed with a few more amps of power behind them. The ultra clean tongue and groove in my panels helped with the dust much better than my old straight wire

I do a lot of woodworking and this is a professional quality, properly sharpened TC cutter with a 7/8" single helical flute to move debris up the cutting edge. This router bit is best used with a router table but can be plunge cut to cut a pocket or used for hand routing. Very high quality cutter

You can call it a cutter but I would call it a professional cutter. My other cutters wish they had the same good sharpening, not to mention the fact that it's solid carbide, shank and all. The first thing I look for in a router bit is the edge sharpening, as that is the biggest factor in tool life. . The edge needs to be polished, not just sanded. The unpolished edge has nicks where the grinding scratches meet the edge, each of which is a source of stress, and chipping quickly begins at these…
