Clean Power Steering Part

I have bought many car parts that have been repaired or rebuilt, this was the dirtiest part I have ever received. It took me two days to clean it of grease and dirt. I'm just hoping that when I install it next weekend it will work and there will be no leaks.

Excellent factory part

Steering box looked good when delivered. Everything was well aligned, the splines, threads etc were correct for the bipod arm, hose fittings and lobe joint. The play in the steering wheel and the leaks in my old gearbox have been eliminated. Feels a little tighter than the factory original but I'm sure it will loosen up over time. With this part, a new flap hinge and a new shock absorber, my 442 convertible runs great again!

Bolted to my GM A body and ready to go

So far so good, fitted and no leaks. Good price. Well, unfortunately, the device started to get stiff and jam in certain places. Driving is no longer safe. The 1966 Pontiac Tempest it was installed on had just received mostly car shows and car show cruises over the weekend. The device had a one-year warranty, and he only did it that year, and the problems started. I was hoping for more durability from it. I just ordered a replacement and hope this one will do.
