EXCELLENT DRILL!

I bought this drill to drill an enlarged front sight hole for a pistol. It worked perfectly. I mounted a chisel on my drill press and it quickly made an accurate and clean LARGE hole in the hardened steel grain. I drilled the scope with a smaller drill and then drilled a larger hole with this drill. I would order this again. I AM SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS.

This bit has a lot of wear

I can only tell you about my experience with this bit but it has a lot of wear. After drilling a hole that was out of spec (too big) I looked carefully to make sure I wasn't inserting it incorrectly into the chuck. I remeasured the part setup on the drill press. I turned on the drill press and just looked and you could see the wobble. I took out the racquet and placed it on a known flat surface and you could see the flex. I double checked some of the Bosch & DeWalt bits I have and they came out

ATTENTION TO THE BUYER! in Power Tool Parts & Accessories

I purchased this drill bit and matching 6-48 tap to install two Picatinny rails on two undrilled 870 Police Magnum receivers. I used my Wen variable speed drill for both the second hole and the lowest possible speed to initially follow my punch mark rather than rolling off anywhere. Once caught, the bit was neatly cut in half. Then I went to my local Ace hardware store and got two #31 bits, both from Irwin.
