Don't waste your money

Terrible I even read the reviews and people said that they liked it but it totally doesn't even work. It's crazy I tried to peel potatoes just regular potatoes and it wouldn't even feel the stupid thing. Don't waste your money. I went to Ikea and I bought one over there for a dollar and it worked so well!

Pros
  • Makes cooking and meal prep easier and faster
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may not be suitable for peeling fruit

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It is lightweight and easy to hold

This peeler lives up to its billing. It is lightweight and easy to hold, extremely sharp, and cuts off just the right amount of peel with very little effort. I'm left-handed, and it's tough to find kitchen utensils that work well for me - so the fact that this peeler is designed with a blade that can be switched for either right handed or left handed use is a real bonus!

Pros
  • COMFORTABLE: Perfectly balanced, nonskid ergonomic grip, solid contoured handle designed for controlled peeling
Cons
  • The set only includes two peelers, which may not be enough for larger households

Worst peeler ever best in my review

I bought this vegetable peeler to replace what I believed was the worst vegetable peeler ever. I was wrong. This is the worst vegetable peeler ever! This thing removes very thick slices with a major amount of pushing. You need to hold whatever you are attempting to peel very tightly or it will be removed from your hand as you peel. This leads to having your fingers wrapped around and in harms way. I have a small slice on my finger to prove it. Not safe, does not work, do not purchase!

Pros
  • Creates a relaxing and satisfying cooking experience
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may not be suitable for peeling frozen vegetables

Doesn't seem like a very smooth peeler to use

Doesn't seem like a very smooth peeler to use. I am constantly trying to find the sweet spot on this peeler. I bought it because of all the positive reviews. This peeler takes chunks out of vegetables instead of moving with the contours. It's so choppy and uncomfortable to use. I found the chefmate works perfect.

Pros
  • Sharp ceramic blade makes peeling vegetables effortless
Cons
  • The peeler may be prone to slipping out of the user's hand

DON'T BUY - my new review

This is a very poor design in that the peeler only works one way -- you can only "push" with it; you cannot "pull." So if you are trying, for example, to peel a not-large potato, you'd probably be holding the potato in your left hand and trying to peel it with your right hand -- meaning that you will push the peeler into your left hand with nearly every stroke. It's sharp -- plenty sharp enough to cut the heck our of your hand!A proper design would be to have the blade sharpened on both sides…

Pros
  • Versatile tool for a variety of vegetables
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may be less versatile than metal blades

In the trash with my broken dreams

I would give this peeler zero stars if it let me. Absolutely awful design that "chunks" instead of peels. I'd have more luck with a straight razor than this garbage. Destroyed my vegetables and wasted my time. Don't bother. Spend a few extra dollars and get something that you don't immediately throw in the trash.

Pros
  • Durable material ensures long-lasting use
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may not be suitable for left-handed users

Ever Try Peeling a Peach?

I am a kitchen gadget junkie. If it exists, I probably own it in some form or other. As a result I have gone through numerous vegetable peelers. Most work ok, none are great, some are downright useless. This one is an exception. The blade is amazingly sharp. Because it's ceramic, I don't have to worry about rust. It feels very comfortable and natural to hold. Best of all, it's dishwasher safe! I think those are my two favorite words in all of kitchendom. The one and only issue I ran into was…

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of cross-contamination with separate tools for different types of food
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may be less suitable for left-handed users

Worst Peeler EVER on my review.

Please do not buy this peeler. It DOES NOT peel! I wish I could return it. I had opened it, eager to use it. Almost 10 dollars wasted. Beware. THIS IS NOT THE BEST VEGETABLE PEELER!

Pros
  • Adds a touch of professionalism to meal preparation
Cons
  • The set may be difficult to store in small kitchens

A peeler with problems

Cuts OK and has a good hand feel. However, it cuts too aggressively for my taste and removes a lot of flesh with the peel. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Reusable and environmentally friendly
Cons
  • The peeler may be more delicate than metal peelers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sharp and works well

"Shipped and works as advertised. Seller made contact with additional user info (how to configure blade)” One minor nit, if you cut too deep the peel gets stuck in the blade and you have to remove it before you can continue.

Pros
  • Increases vegetable consumption and healthy eating habits
Cons
  • The blade may not be replaceable if damaged

Great peeler! for my opinion

I just got this peeler and I was hoping it was going to be as good as my old peeler that eventually rusted and broke. I wasn't let down. It's great. Super sharp, peels vegetables like butter, and even softer fruits are easy to peel. I really like that it's ceramic, so it won't rust like my old peeler. It only peels in one direction, but I only peel in one direction as well so it's a perfect fit for me.

Pros
  • Saves time and effort in the kitchen
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may not be as easy to sharpen as metal blades

Defective unit? Manufacturer unreachable, so returned.

Arrived with dull edge, not "razor sharp." I really wanted to like it, but the blade wasn't even sharp. Couldn't cut my finger on it even if I tried (and I did try out of curiosity with pressure and a sawing motion against my finger tip. That's dull!).Tried to call manufacturer and had no answer on their website phone number, with no answering machine available. Left a note on their website contact form with no answer after three days, so am returning to Best Buy.Interesting that Best…

Pros
  • STAYS SHARP 10x LONGER THAN STEEL: Advanced ceramic blade is harder than steel, never rusts, lasts years longer than stainless or carbon steel peelers. Non-porous, so it won't pick up strong odors or tastes from foods.
Cons
  • Don't feel the ceramic blade is any more efficient than my stainless steel peeler.

If You Buy This Peeler, Plan on Wasting A Lot of Vegetables

Contrary to the description, the "Best Vegetable Peeler" I received absolutely gouges vegetables. It takes off about a 3/16" strip from them, no matter what I try. I tried peeling carrots and potatoes, and this peeler was useless for both. I *assume* this was a defective item, or from a bad batch, but don't know because multiple emails to Cestari went unanswered, and their phone number during business hours just rings and rings.I'd stay away.Update: It took quite a few phone calls, but I…

Pros
  • Dishwasher safe for easy cleaning after use
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may not be suitable for peeling large quantities of vegetables

Skip if you are a Leftie

This product is horrible for left handed folks. The blade is mounted to make it pretty unusable. It is not comfortable to use for any length of time either. Even my right handed spouse found it hard to use. Sadly a waste of money.

Pros
  • Safely peels vegetables without risk of injury
Cons
  • The peeler may be difficult to control while peeling

Not close to good. on my review.

I thought I would replace my 5 year old Faberware ceramic peeler because I thought it was getting dull and harder to peel vegetables. I ordered this ceramic peeler and first time I used it I discovered it didn't do as good a job of peeling as my old peeler. I tried it a 2 nd time and set it aside. Luckily I still had my old peeler to finish my peeling job. The new peeler is in the trash along with the potatoe peels from my old peeler.

Pros
  • Cestari Kitchen
Cons
  • This peeler is very sharp, however, it works best if you are right handed (which I am not).

I have had my previous peeler for over 10 years - and I am a creature of habit. No one else who ever came to my house and used my peeler liked it - but I was used to it. I came across this one online and knew I needed a good replacement - and this one has exceeded my expectations. It cuts with precision without gouging. You can peel without a lot of resistance which is ideal for me. I am right-handed and prefer to peel towards me while my husband (and most others) seem to prefer to peel away…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • not as good as metallic peelers.

The blade is dull and one has to use a lot of force .

Reversible blade feature is really clever, if only the peeler worked well. The blade is dull and one has to use a lot of force to use it and even then it doesn't work well. Still looking for a good peeler that actually works.

Pros
  • Perfect for those on a raw food diet
Cons
  • The peeler may be difficult to wash and clean thoroughly

I've owned many potato peelers over the years but none I have liked as much as I like this one. It fits the hand so well and is always sharp and ready to use. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone nor would I hesitate to buy one for a gift.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • The ceramic blade may not be as durable as metal blades

Bye Bye Swivel! This is truly the best vegetable peeler!

The swivel of my current vegetable peeler seemed to always nick me as it turned around so I started peeling my vegetables by hand with a knife. When I saw this new type of vegetable peeler, I was instantly intrigued. It only took a few tries to get the hang of using this type of vegetable peeler and I was instantly hooked. Besides a better vegetable peeling experience, the quality of the product is incredible, The handle is very ergonomically easy to hold in my hand and I love that I can manage

Pros
  • Peels vegetables with minimal pressure needed
Cons
  • The set may not include a variety of blade shapes or sizes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

lightweight and efficient!

This lightweight well designed peeler is very sharp, sits comfortably in the hand, and requires very little effort to use. It produces the slimmest peels saving more of the vegetable for my recipes!

Pros
  • Sometimes, it skips over the peel, but overall it's fairly good.
Cons
  • This peeler really like to dig in if you have any veggies that have a soft spot.
