This product is completely broken. I used it for HDMI conversion and it took a few days then it started to generate a lot of noise and then transitioned into the movie like the screen lightening and dimming very quickly. My favorite USB-C hub for Macbook Pro 2016. I almost always leave everything connected to the hub even when I'm not using it (printer, external hard drive, HDMI, charging cable) . So when I get home, I plug in a cable and all my peripherals work right away. I used a HooToo hub before and had to return it as it didn't auto-detect HDMI.
