I got this because my car didn't have a gas cap or lock. With rising gas prices, the number of thefts has increased. That calms me.

Was skeptical about buying a hold down cover for my 2018 Ford Focus for fear of fit and functionality. Was very surprised when the prefect came to the port and how easy it was to lock/unlock it. With gas prices at such astronomical levels, there were "people" in my area who pumped out tanks. This gives me peace of mind that I'm not going to get in the car and see that half of my gas is gone. Definitely recommend!

With soaring gas prices and general lawlessness these days, I decided that the opening fuel cap and lack of a fuel cap on our 2018 Ford Explorer was just ridiculous. This solved that problem. Perfect fit and will at least SOME deterrent to a gas thief or vandal. It's a bit difficult to get the key in the unlock position when it's on a crowded keychain, but that's on us, not this product.

This cap snaps easily into place. Doesn't interfere with screwing. The keys fit either way, which also simplifies. This isn't anti-theft IMO as it's made out of something other than steel. some kind of composite material. But it will at least deter thieves.
