Be careful what hob you put this kettle on, the first time I used it the plastic on the top of the thermometer melted. I'm no dummy and I didn't even have too strong a flame, it just melted but still works. The kettle works well and is easy to fill with water. Ok, first of all we have a GE induction range and this 1.2 liter kettle works great on it. The part that is magnetic on the bottom (needed for induction) is a rim around the edge on the bottom.
