The picture really shows the dark wood which looks the same on both grinders. This is far from the truth if you actually understand it, which is nowhere near true. Not only do they appear to be different colors, they don't even come close to matching the color listed in the description. After asking Revain what it was supposed to be the manufacturer came back and said to email them which I did and of course NOTHING. Don't trust Cole and Mason!

This is far from an 'out of the box' review. I've had these coffee grinders for a long time. That's all I wanted. Visually appealing, but also works well. I set mine to give very finely ground pepper and salt and that's exactly what I get. Easy to refuel and maintain. As mentioned by others, yes there will be leftovers under the grinders where you put them after use. I solved this problem by buying a coffee grinder stand.

I've read several reviews listing the quality of Cole & Mason and tried another set from the same manufacturer but they don't match the reports or my agree experience. The box is pretty, but it just makes the recycling look impressive. As for the grinder, the salt copes with dignity, but the pepper is not enough. 1st set bought in 2018, plastic in the salt lid broke where plastic was in contact with the metal shaft Returned at my expense in 2019 and the company quickly replaced both assemblies (per their policy). Now it's 2020 and the pepper has stopped working, I'm guessing the metal grinder is worn out. About a year after purchase, the inside of the salt shaker fell apart when we were trying to refill. I contacted Cole and Mason through their website about the lifetime warranty. They took weeks to get back to me after I emailed them. I sent them pictures of the broken parts. In theory I can get a new kit under warranty - remains to be seen. Purchased this set after reading the reviews to replace a Peugeot set that had lasted over 25 years of daily use. Agree with the reviewer that you get what you pay for at S&P mills by going through my share of the cheap mills.
