The screws worked.

Screws worked well, needed a real torque drill to turn them They are solid. The bit didn't cut very well into the concrete I was working with and I used a different bit with better results.

Pros
  • PHILLIPS FLAT HEAD - Can be turned with a Phillips screwdriver
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Worked great

Bought 100 for just over 25 tapcons. I didn't use the bit that came with it because I needed a longer bit. Used to attach blinds to a brick wall. I used a Dewalt 20v impact drill and installed the screw with a 20v impact. Make sure if you have a Phillips head you use a #3 Phillips bit or you have a good chance of removing the head.

Pros
  • DIAMOND POINT - easier screw tightening to save time
Cons
  • weak

Unreliable compared to Tapcon taps

Almost impossible to drive them fully into concrete. I bought a box and used it to mount 2x4s and they seemed tough but not too terrible. The impact wrench often jumped out of the screw. A few months later I attempted to anchor elfa's top mount into concrete, which means screwing it in 1.5 inches lower than before. Either EVERY screw stopped turning or the percussion instrument popped out. Insert SDS 3/16" one inch deeper than the screw, then vacuum the hole. I then torque the screw with a…

Pros
  • SELF-TAPPING taps screw directly into masonry and require no additional anchors
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
