Better than others, could have been better packaged.

This is a good product compared to the competition. Mine arrived in a box, which was a bit large and allowed for the components to slam into each other (tensioner and idler wheel slammed into the large box, no packaging to protect). A light touch up with a stone may be required to ensure the resulting burrs and sharp edges do not damage the serpentine band.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Can't remember

Analog quality OEM

. The quality is sufficient to replace the stock tensioner and idler pulley on my soul mate's 2007 Honda Accord EX V6. You must reuse the two original mounting screws and dust cover on the outside of the idler pulley. Also, remember to reuse the threaded plastic locking ring that is on the back of the larger mounting screw. Pull the power steering pump reservoir up and out of the retaining clip and slide it aside to make room to work. The swap on this vehicle was ridiculously easy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Noise after your air conditioner repair is the culprit

As you can see, when working on your own car for repairs that you need to make, it's always the cheapest course of action. DO NOT spend too much money replacing parts at once. Yes, learned the hard way. My air conditioning failed on my Acura MDX 05 last summer. A complete air conditioning overhaul is the only part I have not replaced. Thank goodness I was able to diagnose the noise coming from my car when I turn on the air conditioner with this cheap Harbor Trucking mechanic's stethoscope. The…

The product easily passed the 2007 Honda.

Product ran fine for a 2007 Honda Pilot and the squeaking went away. The tensioner and pulleys appear to be well made and cost a third of the original part. Be sure to save and reuse the existing screws and washers as they are not included. Also note that you cannot remove the tensioner assembly without first removing the pulley as there is not enough free play. Be sure to rotate the assembly so that the pulley and bolt can be removed/removed first. Without a pulley on the tensioner, the…

Good replacement for balance shaft parts

So far so good. Direct replacement for my 2006 Acura MDX. This is my third stretcher. The only small issue is that the top pulley doesn't spin as freely as the old one. I'm not sure if this will be a problem later on. My old peeper made a noise like a mouse being choked to death. I used the water bottle method to make sure it was a belt accessory (and not a timing belt). I then used the garden water hose method to pinpoint the problem with the idler pulley. You know, put an ear in the garden…

Can't contact anyone about this product!?

Let me start by saying that installing this product was easy and straightforward. Almost immediately after installing I noticed a small chirp from this build but didn't pay much attention to it. My mechanic said it was normal because everything was set and after some movement it would stabilize as everything was done with the correct tension. Fast forward to today, the noise got worse! My mechanic has already disassembled it and degreased/cleaned all the parts, but the noise still came back…
